People often have certain tales to tell, but the people from this list have stories you would not believe. It seems that the public often enjoys hearing or reading stories about strange people and about their difficulties. Each of these people has a disturbing story. Let’s get things started then; I present you the top ten people with strange stories.
Lina Medina was born in Ticrapo, Peru in 1933, and in 1938, when she was five; her parents took her to the hospital because she complained of abdominal pains and of abdominal growth. The doctors first believed that she might have a tumor, but they soon discovered that she was pregnant. That’s right, she was five year old and she was pregnant. She was seven months pregnant, and on May 14, 1939, she gave birth to a baby boy. She became and she still is the youngest woman who became a mother. The doctors said that her body was way overdeveloped for her age, as her breasts have already developed, and she had a menstrual cycle as well.
Of course, now they needed to find the father, and they arrested her father for having sex with her. He was later released, as they did not have any proofs, and she did not want to say who the father was. The child was raised to believe that she was his sister, but he found out the truth when he was 10 years old. He died in 1979 at the age of 40, as he suffered from a disease which affected his bone marrow. The case was strange, but the people did not pay too much attention to it. Imagine all the attention it would have received if it would have happened in our days. Lina is still alive, but she declines to offer any interviews.
James Joseph Dresnok was born in Richmond, Virginia, in 1941. He joined the army when he was 17, as he had a very troubled childhood. He was positioned in the US and he married a girl while he was in the army. He was sent to West Germany soon afterwards, and when he returned back to US two years later, he found out that his wife was cheating on him. He filed for a divorce, and he was soon afterwards sent to South Korea, having to stay on the Korean Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea. He forged certain military paper works, and he risked being sentenced for it. He decided to run through the mine field, in order to reach the North Korean territory, so he could escape the punishment. The North Korean army captured him, interrogated him, and when they realized that he wasn’t a threat for them, they let him stay in the country.
He started encouraging other soldiers to come in the country, as it is not as bad as it was believed. Staring with 1978, he appeared in numerous North Korean films, and he is now a celebrity in the country. He is now one of the last US defectors who live in North Korea.
Issei Sagawa was born to a very healthy family from Japan in 1949. He became interested in traveling from a very young age, so he moved to Paris, France, while he was very young. He enrolled at the Sorbonne Academy in Paris in the 1981, where he met Renée Hartevelt who was a Dutch woman. In case you are waiting for a love story, I should war you that it is nothing like that. You see, he invited her to his apartment, where he killed her by shooting her in the back of the head. He then had sex with the body numerous times, and over the course of a few days, he ate most of her body. He tried to get rid of the body by throwing it in the lake, but he was arrested by the French police. He told the police with every little detail about what he did, describing the taste, and the feel of the human flesh. He said that he killed her because she was very healthy and beautiful.
Since his father was very rich, he hired one of the best lawyers from France. The lawyer managed to convince the judge that Issei was insane, so they sent him to a mental asylum. The author Inuhiko Yomota went to him there and asked him about the murder, using the information in order to write the book “In the Fog”. He was soon sent to Japan, where his father used his wealth once again to get him off the hook. The judges from Japan said that he wasn’t insane, but that he was a little bit evil. On August 22, 1986 he was a free man, and he has been free ever since, being a minor celebrity in the country.
Robert Young Pelton is a Canadian author and filmmaker who is known for the fact that he has traveled in numerous places from the world were wars took place. It seems that he has the ability of going into the most hostile places and coming out alive with very incredible stories. He has written about numerous of his experiences including the battle of Qala-I-Jangi in Afghanistan, the rebel campaign to take Monrovia, in Liberia, the Grozny siege in Chechnya, and many others. As you can imagine, he escaped death numerous times, as he has been the target of numerous assassinations.
He was kidnapped by the military forces of Columbia from the Darién Gap. It is said that the Darién Gap is one of the wildest places in the world, but that did not kill him. He is a master of surviving, and he has written numerous books about surviving in hostile areas. For five years he hosted the Discovery Channel show called The World’s Most Dangerous Places. He has a website where he offers information about the hostile places in case there are some people who would like to travel there.
A young woman was captured in the jungles of Ratanakiri province, on January 13, 2007. The woman was naked and scared, and she was taken into custody. The people stated that they saw a naked man in the proximity as well. Sal Lou traveled in the area after he heard about the story saying that the woman was his daughter whom he lost in the jungle years ago. He said that the girl should have a scar on her arm, and she did, so they gave him the girl. The story got the atentia of the media from all over the world. Some said that she was born in the jungle, being raised by animals, and so on. The experts stated that she was lost very recently because her feet did not show too many scars.
She also knew how to use the spoon, and she would have not been able to do it, if she would have been born in the jungle. She did not enjoy her new life, as she often tried to run back into the jungle, and she preferred to crawl instead of walking. The most gruesome part is that her entire body was filled with scars, and the ones who examined her, stated that she must have been tortured and abused both physically and sexually. She constantly runs back into the jungle during the night, but she always returns. Currently the Spanish mental health organization tries to help her, by teaching her certain social skills and health habits.
