2 students missing in duck boat accident
Dozens of tourists were dumped into the water when a barge and a duck boat bumped into each other on the Delaware River and two Hungarian students are still missing. Officials lost hope of finding alive the 16 years old girl and the 20 years old man, but the search still continues, although the waters are 50 foot deep and too turbid for divers to be able to find anything. The duck boat caught fire and the captain followed all the right procedures during the emergency situation, when the barge appeared in front of them and the collision took place. The 37 passengers were thrown over board, and 10 minutes later they were saved, except for the two that are still missing.
Most of them were plucked from the water by the other boats that were passing by. Ten of the passengers were taken to a hospital and were released soon after some minor treatment had been applied. Investigators are trying to figure out why the vessels collided and why did not the barge captain see that the duck boat was moving straight towards him.

There was another accident that involved a duck boat back in 1999 at Hot Springs when a vessel sank because one of the bilge pumps failed, killing 13 of the 21 people aboard.
