5 Dangerous Natural Cosmetic Ingredients
As consumers are assaulted daily with dozens of advertisings for cosmetic products, no wonder that
women especially feel lost in the field of cosmetics and don’t know what to pick best. Countless beauty products exist now on the market, to solve every skin problem, defect or to help keep skin moisturized, healthy, glowing etcetera. And while most of consumers still go for mass brands that don’t have anything in common with ecology, protecting nature or natural ingredients, some of us try to use as much as possible the so-called green cosmetic products, made entirely out of natural ingredients. Or not?!
To the trustworthy, average consumer, “natural” may be a perfect synonime with safeness. Though ingredients may be labeled as natural, that does not necessarily mean they are safe also. The Council of Europe Commitee of Experts on Cosmetic Products recently published a study which reviewed 71 plants and plant preparations used as further ingredients for cosmetic products. Out of 71 total studied ingriedents, only 54 were considered as being safe, while 5 are not recommended for cosmetic use and 12 still require additional date to draw a conclusion.
