9 Theories About 2012

We're all doomed, doomed i tell ya!
Everyone is familiar with the predictions and prophecies about 2012. The Mesoamerican Long Count calendar which was used by many Mesoamerican cultures, will reach the end of its 13th baktun in December 2012. Our planet is currently in the geological epoch known as the Holocene period, and when it will be over in 2012, the world will suffer because of it.
People have stated that numerous changes will occur because of it, related to the sun, the weather, and the space. Many say that the governments are aware of the events which will occur, but that they hide the information from the people.
The Holocene Impact Working Group is formed from various scientists from Russia, USA, France, Australia, and Ireland. It seems that the group states that the Earth has been hit numerous times by meteorites and comets, only that we are not aware of it. The group stated that a huge event happens once every one thousand years, and that the deposits which are present on the coastlines are the result of huge tsunamis or asteroid impacts. Many of the scientists have stated that the theories issued by the Holocene Impact Working Group are not true, as they can not be proven. The Holocene Impact Working Group understands the fact that their theories are not too popular in the scientific world, but they still continue to believe in their theories.
They stated that they have collected information about tens of impact zones from all over the world, one of the most important being the Burckle Crater which is located undersea, near Madagascar. The crater has a diameter of 30 kilometers, and it is said that the populations from the area were aware of the fact that the hit will come, and that as a result they abandoned their villages. The most recent time when Earth was hit by a meteor was in 1908, near the Podkamennaya Tunguska River from Russia. Apparently, the impact had the force of 1,000 nuclear bombs. The Holocene Impact Working Group believes that an asteroid will hit earth in the following years.

Life in our solar system would not be possible without the Sun. The Sun gives us light, and heats us, and as a result life on Earth would not exist without it. What many people might not know is the fact that the sun follows a certain cycle. The Solar Cycle was first observed by Samuel Heinrich Schwabe, a German astronomer, in 1843. He observed that the sun follows a certain pattern, and that the sunspots recorded on the Sun, vary each year. The sunspots indicate magnetic activity on it. A solar cycle takes place over a period of 10.7 years, and every time it ends, it causes massive changes in the weather. 23 solar cycles took place since 1755, and cycle 24 will end in 2013. Many people have said that the end of the 24th cycle will represent the destruction of our planet. It seems that NASA believes that something bad will happen as well, as Dr Richard Fisher, the director of Nasa’s Heliophysics division stated that the electromagnetic storms resulted from the end of the cycle, might have the capability of disrupting anything that is electrical.
The Orion Nebula is located in the south of Orion’s Belt. It can be seen with the naked eye, as it appears as a star in the middle of the sword of Orion. It is the closest region of star collections to Earth, and there are numerous theories about it. Many believe that the stars which are located there are dangerous for our planet, and the theorists also stated that the government is aware of this. According to them there is a huge conspiracy theory related to these stars, as they have been removed from media, and from software programs such as Google Sky. It seems that the Mayans mentioned something about the Orion Belt in their tales, and many people believe that they were referring to those stars that have the potential of destroying us. Some say that the speculations are not true, as the Orion Nebula has not been mentioned prior to the 17th Century. Some say that the reason for that is the fact that the Mayans had far more advanced telescopes that we do, and that the stars have become brighter in the last period of time.
