No matter how great or cool your ride is, it is very likely that there will always be a cooler ride than yours. In what follows I am going to present you the coolest cars which is most likely that you and I will never get to use. In many of the cases the reason for it, is the large price but there are other reasons as well.

The Necker Nymph is a three-seat powered sled, and its main task is of taking scuba-divers to an underwater sight-seeing trip. However, the main thing you should know is that they have to be passengers on Sir Richard Branson‘s 105-foot luxury catamaran in the British Virgin Islands. All they need to do in order to be passengers is to pay $80,000 per week and then to pay $25,000 more for the Nymph. The Necker Nymph is very safe, as it uses its engines in order to stay submerged, which means that in case of an emergency it will be quickly lifted to surface.

Hummer is a car which was designed for the ones who really want to feel that they operate a very large machine. Initially the Hummer was designed for military purposes. Its name was High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, or HMMWV or Humvee. The designers saw an opportunity and they decided to make the same vehicle suitable for home use. They failed, because the car which was excellent on the field was atrocious in the city. It was slow and it consumed lots of fuel. The 2012 Hummer or the H4 was going to be the next car manufactured by General Motors, but since the first three of its kind were failures, they decided not to manufacture this one anymore.

It seems that Sir Richard Branson has lots of great ideas. Besides the Necker Nymph which gives one the possibility of exploring the oceans, he wants to design the Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo, which can take the people on a space expedition. NASA promised to construct such a space ship for decades now, and when he saw that their promises did not deliver, he decided to create the ship. Everything is in production stage, as the construction of the space chip will begin in 2011. The trip will cost $200,000 but it promises that it will offer you the experience of your lifetime. You will reach Mach3, and fly at about 300,000 feet. You will not go into orbit because you will be in the risk of not coming back alive.

NASA wanted to offer you the possibility of dropping off at a certain space station, the moon, or even Mars. The space shuttle which could offer you the possibility of accomplishing that task is the reusable Orion “crew exploration vehicle” component of the Constellation rocket system. The Orion Spacecraft was supposed to replace the normal Space Shuttles which have kind of become outdated. The Orion was supposed to hold up as much as 6 persons, but the Obama administration decided not to use it anymore. Instead of it, they decided to focus on something else. Too bad, it could have been great, but I bet that the price of a ticket would have been huge.

When it comes to planes you can “ride”, the best of them all is the F-22 Raptor. However, do not get your hopes up because the U.S Army did not make a program through which you can ride one. The only way for you to ride one is to be a pilot, but it is very unlikely that you have this profession. If you do, consider yourself lucky to be able to ride such a wonderful machine.

Here’s a beast you can ride: the Bugatti Veyron. However, there is one small impediment, and that is the price. The car costs $1.7 million, which means that it is the most expensive car you can buy and use it on the streets. It is said that the experience of riding the car is incredible. It can hit 200mph on the open road, but it uses lots of fuel as well. Going at that speed, you will run out of gas in 12 minutes. Researches have been done on the car, and it has been stated that if one would maintain that speed for 15 minutes, the tires would catch on fire.

There used to be some days when the best way of traveling by air was via a Zeppelin. Then the Hindenburg disaster occurred, and people realized that traveling in a Zeppelin is very dangerous. In 2004 you could have bought a 247-foot personal zeppelin from Zeppelin Luftschifftechnik GmbH of Germany, for only $10 million. The price is very high, and in comparison to the Zeppelins from 1930, this one is outdated. It can only carry 12 passengers and it can stay in the air for 24 hours at a time.

People have been thinking about travelling via a flying car ever since the airplane was invented. At first it was said that the flying cars will be available in 2000, many of the movies created in the 60s presenting a world with flying cars, robots, and so on. No, we do not have access to a flying car yet, but the M400 Moller Skycar might be the solution. The problem is that it is not available yet, and even if or when it will be, it is most likely that it will be very expensive.

This one is kind of strange, because riding it would be very dangerous, and in most of the cases would be fatal. The Robotic Groundhog was developed by the people from Carnegie Mellon University to go into the mines which are toxic and in which people can no longer enter. It is without a doubt a very cool vehicle, and it is responsible for doing a very great task. Like I said, riding it would almost most certainly mean death, but that is one of the greatest ways to go.
