American Country Awards Winners

Carrie Underwood won six awards on Monday night ceremony
Usually, at award winning ceremonies, there is one big winner and of course, this was also the case for the American Country Awards that took place on Monday night.
So, the big winner on Monday night awards ceremony was Carrie Underwood. The famous country singer received six awards, so she got one trophy at every category in which she got nominated. Carrie Underwood received the Artist of the Year title, but she also got the Best Female Artist award, a category in which she competed against big names in the industry such as Taylor Swift and Miranda Lambert. However, Carrie also received the trophies in other four categories including Touring Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for her “Play On,” as well as Single of the Year Female for her famous “Cowboy Casanova,” the same single that brought her the best female music video title.
“We have had the most amazing year out on the road but we wouldn’t be doing anything if there weren’t people out there sitting in that audience,” Carrie told the crowd thanking all her fans for the latest success. “God bless the fans,” Carrie concluded according to the Toronto Sun. And in fact this was the second time when Carrie had won the country music Artist of the Year. And Carrie had also received this year the top honor at the Academy of Country Music Awards in April. And at both ceremonies fans were the ones to determine the winners and so there is no wonder that the singer was so thankful for the support. However, this shows that Carrie Underwood has no match when it comes to fans.
Well, Carrie may have received the big awards of the night, but she wasn’t the only winner. Other big winners of the night included Lady Antebellum, who received four awards during the Monday night ceremony. The trophies included Artist of the Year: Duo or Group, but they also win in the categories of Single of the Year, Single of the Year: Duo or Group and Music Video: Duo or Group, all the awards being given for their famous single “Need You Now.”
So, in fact, there were two big winners, Carrie Underwood and Lady Antebellum. However, Brad Paisley also got to be awarded, receiving the trophy in Male Artist of the Year, while Easton Corbin won in Breakthrough Artist of the Year and other two categories. Rascal Flatts won the Decade Award. Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins won music video of the year. But, despite the winners, the December 6, Las Vegas ceremony included many famous guest singers, such as Bret Michaels or Kaley Cuoco, “The Big Bang Theory” star, Shea Fisher and Nancy O’Dell. The ceremony was hosted by country singer Trace Adkins and Rascal Flatts. The show included performances from Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan, Toby Keith, Keith Urban, Reba McEntire, Josh Turner and The Band Perry. However, the show brought something new as it allowed fans to vote for their favorite artists in some new categories such as touring artist of the year.
