Amy Winehouse Enters Rehab
It seems that singer Amy Winehouse has decided once again to seek treatment for her issues. The star has reportedly checked into a treatment program in London.
However, it looks like the reason why Amy Winehouse made this decision is actually given by the fact that the star just wants to be sure she will be doing well by the time of her Europe tour. And this actually is what her rep, Chris Goodman, recently said. So, the 27 year old singer wants to be sure she will be able to perform during the summer, Goodman said on Friday.
However, there was no mention on which are the issues for which Amy Winehouse needs treatment now. Still reports indicate that the star checked into Priory Clinic on Wednesday. Amy “has embarked on a treatment program at the Priory Clinic. She wants to be ready for performances in Europe this summer and decided to seek an assessment. She will remain at the Priory on doctors’ advice,” the official statement said. Anyway, there are a series of treatments that can be received within the center, including treatment for alcohol and drug addiction issues, but also for different psychiatric problems. Still, it has been claimed that the star will receive her treatment for alcohol addiction, thing that she has been battling with for a while now.
But, it is well known the fact that the popular singer has been battling drug and alcohol problems for years. These issues had brought the star also some problems with the law, but it seemed at some point that Amy had managed to leave all of them behind, although she wasn’t very active when it comes to her musical career. Anyway, it seems that this time the singer was pursued to seek treatment for her problems by her dad. And Amy agreed to enter rehab, before her drinking will start to be a bigger issue.
Amy Winehouse will start her Europe concerts in June.11
