Bahraini authorities resumed the crack down on demonstrators in an attempt to stop the protests for democracy that have been going on in the little kingdom for more than a month.

In the early hours on Thursday, the security service arrested the opposition figures, as the negative reaction of the international community grows bigger in face of the brutal measures employed by the regime with the help of the Saudi Arabian forces that entered the country’s territory last Sunday.

Among those arrested was Haq movement leader Hassan Mushaima, who returned from exile in Britain after the authorities dropped previous charged on him.

Abdul Jalil al-Singace, another leader of the opposition, was also arrested, after he had just been freed in February.

Haq movement is committed to going beyond any sectarian fighting and join efforts with human rights watchdogs in the country in order to bring the changes the country so much needs.

Ibrahim Sharif, head of Waad, a leftist party, was also arrested at the crack of dawn.

Even though police took these pre-emptive actions to make sure there would be no more protests against the regime, people still took it to streets to ask the Sunni royal family to give democratic rights and freedom to the Shiite population of the country.

Peaceful demonstrations in Sanabis, Jidhafs and Daih, Shiite towns, were met with violence by the police, and not even foreign press was spared.

American State Secretary Hillary Clinton said in Cairo that Bahrain and its Gulf allies are “on the wrong track.” Which is more interesting, Iran also accuses the monarchy in Bahrain, expressing hope for the “victory of Islam.”
