Bret Michaels is rumored to be the reason why Miley Cyrus’s parents split. According to some US Weekly reports the singer has been having an affair with Miley’s mother, Tish.
Bret Michaels actually became a family friend when he released the single “Nothing to Lose,” a duet with Miley launched earlier this year. The Poison frontman became close to the entire family, at least this is what the source said for Us Weekly. However, all these allegations are denied by Michaels’ rep and also by Tish’s spokesman. “There has never been an affair or a fling,” Tish’s spokesman said according to Access Hollywood. Anyway, the one to file for divorce was Billy Ray Cyrus, who decided to end his 17 years marriage to the mother of his three children.

So, Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce when he found out about the affair and it seems that the 49 years old singer had no idea about the cheating story, until finding out a few weeks ago. “Billy Ray was completely unaware of what was going on,” the source said. Well, it is a fact that Tish, aged 43, has been seen several times with Bret Michaels and also at one of his concerts, the Los Angeles show dating back in February 28. It was reported that the 47 years old Poison star has asked her production company’s help to adapt his book Roses & Thorns into a movie.

Is this story true? Most celebrity divorces have been linked to a cheating story, some of them being confirmed, while others remaining at a rumor status. However, Billy Ray has filed for divorce and the reason cited in the papers was “irreconcilable differences.” He is seeking joint custody of the couple’s three children, Miley, who will actually turn 18 this month, Braison, aged 16, and Noah, who is 10 years old and “equitable distribution of the marital estate.”

Anyway, Bret Michaels denied the accusations. “This is untrue. My client is not that type of person,” his rep told Access Hollywood adding that “He has worked with Miley and Tish on a professional level.” A rep for Tish also denied the rumors saying that there was no affair. Well, the source who actually released these rumors said it was a professional relationship, at least at its beginnings, but it turned into more with time. No comments have been made until now by Billy Ray’s rep. Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus wed in 1993. The couple has five children, two of them, Tish’s kids from a previous relationship, being adopted by Billy Ray.11
