If you have not experienced it, you most certainly do not have the possibility of imaging how it may feel like. The Mayo Clinic put this name to a condition that Nadia Cwiach is suffering from – the “burning mouth syndrome”.

They just did not deal with this fact so far and they actually do not know how to handle it. Anyhow, many people may not know, but it is actually a disease that affects around 4 % of the total population of the United States and the vast majority of them are women over their 50ies.

What are the characteristics of the burning mouth syndrome? It is a syndrome in which a burning pain occurs on your tongue and lips and it will be widespread after a time, and will get to capture your entire mouth, with no reason whatsoever.

Despite of the fact that this disorder was associated with many causes such as the appearance of menopause, psychicological problems, some nutritional deficiencies and as well some disorders that you may have at the base of your mouth, the exact causes that lead to its appearance re unknown. This pain may last for months even for years without anything that you can do about it.

What do you feel and how can it be discovered? You may be feeling symptoms

like a dry mouth, a sore mouth, a tingling or numb sensation in the mouth and as well a metallic taste. While some days may be painless some may be impossible to stand: “There are just days where you’re really miserable,” says Cwiach, meaning that some Mondays may feel hotter in there than some Tuesdays. But pretty much every day, it’s a scorcher in there.

She has been fighting with this syndrome for two years and four months now and she is no longer capable of knowing the normal taste of food. she continuously has a taste of gasoline in her mouth.

Doctors have gone though her case and have prescribed her a lot of medicines, but nothing seemed to have the desired effect. She has tried every single thing she was recommended to do, but no improvement was seen.

Things were said to believe it is about her menopause situation she is in, about stress, but nothing advocates any of these as she does not feel hotter in those particular situation. She found out that the media of years that this syndrome may be lasting is of about seven years. So according to her latest calcs she will feel cooler just as 2015 arrives. It is said, that the feeling will disappear as abruptly as it first came out.
