People from all over the world spend millions of dollars on various pills and health schemes which most of the times are ineffective. The truth is that there are many changes which one could make in order to become healthier and they do not require lots of money. These are the best changes you could make in order to stay healthy.

Sex can bring lots of health benefits besides the obvious pleasure associated with it. The endorphins released by it are good against stress and they can also increase your immune system. Stress can lead to further complications, such as heart attacks, strokes, and even cancer. Who am I kidding here? Do you really need a reason to have more sex?

Flossing and brushing might be more important than it has been previously believed. Low birth weight babies, diabetes, and heart diseases, have all been linked with bone and gum diseases. All of these can be prevented by brushing regularly, flossing, and going to the dentist. The experts believe that the horal hygiene can influence the frequency of heart attacks as well.  Most of the people say that you should brush at least twice a day but the dentists say that flossing is just as important as brushing. Flossing reduces the risk of developing periodontal gum disease. By flossing and brushing you will have fewer cavities, less tartar and plaque, and your breath will be better as well.

Staying in the sun might be a good idea because it can improve your mood and it can enhance the productivity of vitamin D, but only as long as the activity is done in moderation. Too much sun can cause skin cancer and the problem is that the cases of this type of cancer are getting more and more frequent. The scientists do not know how much sun is healthy; in fact they believe that the people should asses this situation, themselves. The doctors stated that the people should use their common sense when they stay in the sun. Tanning at the tanning salon isn’t such a good idea either, as it has been proven that they can increase the odds of getting cancer.

You should consume less alcohol. Some say that drinking daily might be useful for the health, and it is true, but only if the drinking is done in moderation, and it can be applied only to certain kinds of drinks. Drinking too much alcohol each day will increase the odds of developing diabetes and of damaging your liver. Liver cancer has been connected with excessive alcohol use, and excess alcohol is the third leading cause of death in the United States of America. The only good thing about the alcohol is that it makes people much more attractive, and that has been proven by researches.

Washing your hands is extremely important. You might do it, but there are very large numbers of people who ignore it, and as a result they can develop certain illnesses because of various bacteria and viruses. Flu can be transmitted through dirty hands as well, and flu kills 30,000 people each year. Always use soap when you wash your hands. There are many people who do not wash their hands even when they leave the public restrooms, and that is a clear no-no.

Sleeping is more beneficial for the health than you might believe. Many people ignore it, and decide to sleep a few hours each night. They have energy during the day, and they believe that they do not require sleep. Sleeping less than six hours each night has been associated with diabetes, cancer, obesity, and various heart related illnesses. Naps are good as well, but you should still get your 6 hours of sleep each night. The age makes a difference, because the pre-scholars for example needs more sleep than the adults, and so on. If you have trouble falling asleep there are some tricks you can do in order to be able to sleep, such as avoiding caffeine, exercising, and setting a regular bedtime.

Smoking can cause lots of damage to your body. It is estimated that half of smokers die because of this vice, and the majority of them die before they reach 50, or when they are around that age. You can develop lots of lung problems, strokes, because of smoking. It is also a known fact that smoking causes lung cancer. 87 percent of the lung cancers are a result of smoking, and the lung cancer is the most common type of cancer in the world. However the majority of people who die because of smoking die from strokes or heart attacks.

Stress can be very damaging for the body, and it can be deadly because it can produce lots of illness. The great news is the fact that you are responsible for the way in which you manage stress, and the stressful situation. First you must identify the source of the stress, and then you have to control it. Try working out, yoga, or mediation, as they can release the stress. By exercising the body will release useful hormones and it will also reduce the stress levels. When you feel overwhelmed for various reasons, you should stop the activity and take time to relax. It will help you a lot.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that poor diet, an inactive lifestyle, and smoking are the main reasons why people die. You should exercise as much as you can. You do not have to go and lift weights, because walking is enough. Make sure that you are active at least one hour each day and you will live longer.

The most important change you have to make in order to stay healthy is to eat better. With the introduction of the fast food more and more people have become obese, and many of them develop illnesses which might be deadly. Diabetes, cancer, and many other illnesses are related with the eating habits one has.
