It's Always Sunny In PhiladelphiaThe super hit comedy series called “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” made its return to the FX airwaves this Thursday, September 16 at 10 PM ET.
Now the gang at Paddy’s Pub got to a Hollywood event and celebrate their return at the Arclight Hollywood just last night, for celebrating the new season and the “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season 5″ DVD and Blu-ray sets that arrived on shelves on September 14. The press spoke with Charlie Day about some of the big changes taking place on Season 6, and it looks like his character, also called Charlie, will be leaving the gang at Paddy’s, and he’ll also be leaving Philadelphia.

So here’s what he said about this: “He gets kicked out of the gang, so that rocks him emotionally, for a little bit. He forges his own way out there in the world. He also makes a big step and gets out of Philadelphia for the first time in his life, so there are some changes there. He goes to Atlantic City with Dennis.”
Charlie was also asked if there was a slight possibility that they might shoot an episode of the series in the real bar that Rob McElhenney owns and he said “we already shot the season, but for future episodes, yeah, we could possibly film in there. We’ll see if that happens. That’s not a bad idea.”

One of the best episodes in the series so far was the great Season 4 finale, “The Night man Cometh”, where Charlie is writing a musical. So he had to answers also if there were any other plans for some future musical episodes: “Yeah, we’ve been talking about it. We’ll see. We don’t want to kill a dead horse, but we might do a tour and we might write another musical on the show. We’ll see what happens.”

Another interesting episode was “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: A Very Sunny Christmas” DVD and Blu-ray that went out last November. Charlie says that it’s all about the network, when it comes to making plans for future holiday-themed shows.

“That’s a network thing, but we’ll see how it does this Christmas, if people keep on watching it or if we have to make one every Christmas. It was a lot of fun to make,” he said.

So season 6 of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” went on air on Thursday, September 16 at 10 PM ET on FX. But now, you can also get “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season 5″ on DVD and Blu-ray in all stores.11
