Christina Aguilera was arrested on Tuesday morning and as expected many reactions appeared after the incident.
Some actually claimed that the star has an alcohol problem, all because she wasn’t able to say where she was, she couldn’t stand and “was not capable of taking care of herself” when being taken into custody by the police, after the vehicle driven by her boyfriend, Matt Rutler, was pulled over by the cops in Los Angeles. Christina Aguilera was taken into custody, although she wasn’t the person driving because, the police report claimed, the 30 year old star was incapable of taking care of herself, so, for her own protection. Of course, she will not face any charges for being “extremely intoxicated.” The singer was released on $250 bail when she felt better. But, soon after the arrest some photos of the star emerged on the internet, being first published by celebrity site Pérez Hilton. The photos show Christina with no makeup after hours spent in jail.

After the incident, different sources claimed that Christina is “a total mess,” while “her drinking is out of control.” And according to Us magazine, this is not the first incident of this kind in which Christina is involved, but in the past few months the star has constantly managed to find trouble and all linked to alcohol use. An incident of this kind happened on New Year’s Eve, when the singer got into an argument with her mother. “Christina was so wasted before her guests arrived that her mother told her to lie down and sober up,” a source said according to the magazine.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the star’s friends have been encouraging Christina to check into rehab. So, it was claimed that Christina turned up at Jeremy Renner’s party, although she wasn’t invited at the event, and by the time she got there she was already so intoxicated that she had to sleep in his bed. The incident took place on January 8, at Jeremy Renner’s birthday party. But, despite the events reported by different sources, in the past weeks Christina has managed to create headlines and not with positive aspects. Her most recent public humiliation was linked to the words mixing of the National Anthem during her Super Bowl performance that took place at the beginning of last month. The star publicly apologized after the incident.

Matthew Rutler, Christina’s 25 years old boyfriend was also released from jail, after posing a $30,000 bail. He was arrested for driving under the influence. Christina Aguilera and Matt Rutler began dating last year, in November, after the singer separated from her husband, Jordan Bratman. The two were a married couple for five years before Christina decided to file the divorce papers and they have a three years old son, Max. The star claimed she and her former husband tried to make the marriage work for months before the official separation, mostly for the sake of their son.
