Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough are the Dancing With The Stars winners

Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough are the winners of the 11th season of “Dancing With the Stars.” This announcement was no surprise as it was expected for the two to be this year’s winners.
“This journey was the gift,” Jennifer Grey told Entertainment Weekly when the show ended. “Saying yes was the gift. Getting Derek as a partner was a huge gift,” she added. Grey also mentioned that she didn’t think they will actually win. “Our goal was always to do memorable dances,” she explained. The couples that still remained on the show danced twice each. The first pair to dance was Kyle and Lacey, who showed their tango moves. Bristol Palin and her partner Mark Ballas also danced a tango.

However, the winner of the night was Jennifer Grey, the 50 years old actress who achieved fame with the famous movie “Dirty Dancing.” And the actress obtained the first place in front of Kyle Massey, the Disney Channel star and Bristol Palin, the daughter of Sarah Palin. Despite the fact that she suffered earlier a back injury, Grey showed that her talent and determination can not be stopped by health issues. And she actually was so good that one of the judges, Bruno Tonioli, felt sorry to give her only a 10.

Bristol Palin and her partner Mark Ballas ended the competition on the third place. Their presence in the final was surprising, but the two in the end deserved to be there. She and Mark were voted into the final despite the fact that Brandy managed to get a perfect score on her tango last week, and debates and controversy started after Brandy’s elimination. But, Bristol managed to leave behind the mean comments and after the show said she felt great and “very thankful and blessed.” Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas scored 104 from the judges, while Kyle Massey and her partner Lacey Schwimmer scored 110.11
