Duke Nukem Forever to be released by 2011
People enjoy playing games and once they fell in love with a certain one they can hardly wait for a sequel. The same happened with Duke Nukem of 3D Realms company, one of the first shooter games in the 1990s with quite good graphics for the time. Since his release, people wait for a continuing and their hopes were down to earth when the company dissolved last year. However, the company that continued the project announced that Duke Nukem Forever, the almost 10 year waited sequel, will be released as soon as 2011. Although a trailer for Duke Nukem Forever was released, people are still skeptical about the final version of the game.
Duke Nukem Forever is a a first-person shooter video game and it was supposed to be the follow-up of the 1996 Duke Nukem 3D. The game’s development was directed by George Broussard, but the news of its release ‘next year’, ‘this year’, made people doubt it will ever be played. After 3D Realms announced last year that the process of making Duke Nukem Forever will cease, new hopes were given to the public when on August 11, 2010 Take -Two announce they retain the publishing rights for the game; at the same time Gearbox Software developing the game rumors were raised.
If the graphics of the game were good in 1996 imagine what the graphics would be like in 2011, with all the new advanced technology at hand. The characters will move easier, faster, with more realism, creatures and weapons that seem to have come from the future will invade your screen and sexy girls will just make the game a real pleasure. Along with them, good background music, high visual quality and special effects, not to mention the moments when you see yourself next to the creatures you fight against make the game be considered a revival of the first one and a revival of technology. The language itself, sometimes limited to the best and fashionable violent words, spoken in a very calm voice is going to appeal to every gamer and I bet that they are going to use those swearing and the intonation in their real life conversations. Not that I agree with this, but I am just discussing a future fact.
Intended not for the weak, the game might come to life eventually, which means that all those who have waited more then 10 years to play it will just look for every opportunity to get the game. And if the game looks the way it is advertise, I’m sure that people will play it for hours and hours. If it good and so long-waited, why not?
