Eva Mendes claims she doesn't need a piece of paper to be happy
Well, there may be many women out there who are dreaming of the perfect wedding, but actress Eva Mendes is definitely not one of them.
During a recent appearance on Chelsea Lately Show, actress Eva Mendes claimed that although she believes in true love, she will never wed. “We were doing it for land originally. I mean, how unromantic is that?” the actress said referring to the whole deal of signing a paper to be united with your life partner. And that is not all. Eva claimed that it is by far more sexy to refer to the man you love with “boyfriend” rather than “husband.” “I actually think it’s really sexy to be with someone in your fifties and sixties and be like, ‘That’s my boyfriend,’” the actress explained. “I think husband and wife is just… very unsexy,” she added. Well, at least the star knows what she wants.
Anyway, what the 37 year old actress explained during her appearance on the show on Wednesday is that marriage definitely is not for her. “I’m not like anti-marriage or the institution, like for other people,” Eva Mendes explained adding that she actually loves the “idea of a union — that’s all very beautiful.” Eva Mendes is currently dating George Augusto. The two have been a couple since 2002, but despite the fact that they have been together for about 9 years, they don’t seem to have any wedding plans. But, when being asked if she plans on ever marrying her boyfriend, the star said that is not part of her future plans. “Well no,” she said, adding that it is not the idea, but the institution of marriage that does not work with her believes. “If you love someone and you have a spiritual union,” the star said, a piece of paper to show it, it not something she wants or needs.
So, it seems that Eva Mendes wanted to share the fact that she is not completely anti marriage, but it is just that marriage is not for her, as she does not believe that she needs a paper to be happy with the man she loves. Well, after all it looks like the actress believes in true love.11
