Facts about the Human Body
The human body is one of the most complex machines ever created. It is amazing if you start to think about it; how many pieces of the puzzle fill in together in order to achieve a great thing. There are many mysteries related to the way in which the body functions; some are beautiful, some are complex, and some are really gross.
If you did not know, you are constantly carrying a very dangerous acid. Your gut contains corrosive acid, as the stomach secretes hydrochloric acid, which is a corrosive compound used to treat metals in the industrial world. The substance has the capacity of breaking down steel but the stomach wall is strong enough to keep it contained in the digestive system in order to break down what you eat.
It is strange how we can remember certain memories, but we can not remember other ones. The process of memorizing things is a very fascinating one, and it has been proven that it depends on lots of external factors. Certain smells and sights can trigger memories, the feeling of nostalgia often being associated with it. Certain positions can make you remember certain things again. Seeing an old bicycle might take you back to your childhood when you were delivering papers. It has been recently discovered that we can remember certain episodes from our past if we are positioned in a similar manner than we performed the activity.
The bones are very important for the body, as they sustain the musculature. It is very painful when we break one, and the healing process can be very annoying as well. It can take months before the bones are linked together again, and they will remain fragile for a very long period of time. In case you did not know, the bones often break on their own. The reason they do this is to regulate the calcium level in the body. The bones contain phosphorus and calcium, the calcium being very important for muscles and for nerves. If the body is lacking the calcium, then certain hormones will cause it to break.

The brain makes up 2 percent of the total body weight, but it requires 20 percent of the total amount of calories and oxygen. Three major cerebral arteries are constantly pumping in oxygen in order to make sure that the brain will be able to continue without any problems. When one of those arteries is blocked, then the brain will not receive the required energy and it will not suffer as it should. That is what the doctors call a stroke, and it can be very dangerous.
When a woman reaches her late 40s or early 50s, she reaches menopause, meaning that the menstrual cycle that controls her hormone levels and readies ova for insemination is stopped. Her body released less and less estrogen and as a result she went through various emotional changes. Her underdeveloped egg follicles do not release ova at the rates it has released before. An adolescent girl has 34,000 underdeveloped egg follicles, but only about 350 will mature over the course of her life. The unused egg follicles will then deteriorate because the brain knows that the pregnancy is no longer possible.
The puberty can be a very rough period for some. This is the moment when the body releases certain hormones which make the body grow, and which make it ready for reproduction. The reason why puberty can be so difficult is because the brain releases testosterone and other hormones which can influence the development of neurons in the brain. Each change to the brain can have various consequences. Usually the person going through puberty will experience apathy, poor decision-making skills, and awkwardness.

Hair-like organelles called cilia are present in many regions of the brain. They have a large variety of functions such as hearing and digesting. In the nose the cilia has the task of draining mucus from the nasal cavity to the throat. The cold weather will slow down this process, and as a result you will have to wipe your nose more often. Swollen nasal membranes can also cause your nose to be filled with mucus.
I believe that you agree with me when I say that evolution is not perfect. If it would be perfect we would not have wisdom teeth, but we would have wings. There are many cases when certain useless organs and useless features that we as humans posses. The reason why we still have them is because they do no harm, and the body did not considered that they should be eliminated. The wisdom teeth were once very useful as our ancestors used them in order to chew the food. Our brains grew and as a result our jawbone structure changed and as a result our mouths are overcrowded.

I am certain that you are aware of the fact that seeing someone yawn will make you yawn in most of the cases as well. In fact you might yawn because you have read the previous sentence. The same goes with the laughter. If you laugh, there are very high chances that someone else will laugh with you as well. Sneezing, laughing, crying, and yawning are all great ways of creating strong social bonds. Mimicry is very important in the case of social interactions. It has been discovered that mimicry often appears at an unconscious level.
If the skin would not have the coloring it has, it would appear creamy white. Near the surface of the skin there are the blood vessels and they give the skin that blush of red. The skin is also colored by a yellow pigment. The ultraviolet rays cause the sepia-toned melanin to be released and as a result the skin appears black in certain moments. These four different colors are mixed in different proportions and as a result they create the skin colors of all the people from the Earth.11
