Father Vows To Kill Son's Murderer

(wpclipart.com)

The father of a child murdered back in 1975 vowed that he would kill his son’s killer if he’s let out of prison sooner than he has to.

Back in 1975, a little boy named Jason Foreman was brutally killed near his home in Wakefield, Rhode Island and then his shellacked bones were hidden in his murderer’s house for many years. In 1983, the killer, known by the name of Michael Woodmansee (who was 16 years old when he committed the horrible murder), confessed and he was convicted for second-degree murder.

Now, it seems that Woodmansee is eligible for early release in August, according to the Providence Journal, which reported the news on Sunday. As you can imagine the father of the little boy killed back in 1975, John Foreman is outraged at the thought that his baby’s murderer can be released so soon for such a horrible deed. Thus, he made a statement in which he said that he would kill Michael Woodmansee if he were released earlier than 40 years, meaning the time Woodmansee has to spend in prison for the deed he committed. According to WPRO-AM, Foreman intends to kill the man as aggressively and painfully as he did with his son. “I do intend if this man is released anywhere in my vicinity, or if I can find him after the fact, I do intend to kill this man, and I just need that other information so I can kill him as aggressively and painfully as he killed my son,” said Foreman in a statement for WPRO-AM, on Monday.

Moreover, Foreman went on saying that Woodmansee was a cannibal who ate his son’s flesh and who still presents a huge danger to society if he is released. “That’s what he thinks about. That’s what is still on his mind, I’m sure, if he gets out again, to do this again.” It is not absurd what the father wants to do, if you come to think about it. But is it right? Taking matters into your own hands is not always the best thing to do and consequences of his actions can be worse than he can imagine. Still, Attorney General Peter Kilmartin is also outraged at the thought that this horrible criminal may get out of jail so soon and he asked the Department of Correction to consider every piece of information they have on the man to keep him behind bars for as much time as they possibly can.

However, the situation is not as bright as Foreman and Kilmartin may thing, as according to the current Superior Court Associate Justice Susan McGuirl, no one anticipated the fact that under the circumstances the man could behave so well. Thus, according to prison laws, all prisoners can earn up to ten days early release per month for good behavior. Plus, they can also earn two more days if they work during their time in prison. The worst part is that these early release days prisoners can win are given to everybody, regardless of the crime they have committed.

Anyway, Woodmansee is going to take a psychiatric exam and he may be transferred to a psychiatric ward instead of being released as early as July.
