The United States is reviewing the options for a quick solution in Libya, where the crackdown on the demonstrators has left at least 300 people death, or, according to the Italian Prime Minister Franco Frattini, more than 1,000.
The Obama Administration is cooperating with the allies to find a way to convince or force the leader Muammar al-Qaddafi to put a stop to the terrible violence in his country.
White House press secretary announced that the president would address the issue later on Wednesday or the next day.
The press secretary said, without going into specific details, that the presidential administration is looking to find both common solutions and unilateral ones.

Freezing the assets of Muammar al-Qaddafi could be a potential step, Phillip J. Crowley, spokesman for the State Department, said.
So far the president of the United States has made no official comment on the situation in Libya, and is scheduled to meet with U.S. State Secretary Hillary Clinton on the issue.
Meanwhile, American authorities are working on evacuating the American citizens from the conflict zone. The American embassy in Tripoli announced that a ferry would take U.S. citizens from Tripoli to Malta.
The Obama Administration is also monitoring the oil market, given that Libya is one of the richest countries in oil and the price of it on the international market has already reached $100.
The airports in the Middle East have refused to allow planes coming from Libya and belonging the Qaddafi family to land.
It is not sure yet whether the members of the family were defecting or were sent away for safety.
What is sure though is that many of Qaddafi’s collaborators are leaving his side and going to the protestors.
The minister of justice has defected and told the press that the attack on Lockerbie in the 1980s was commanded by Qaddafi himself.
