And because I have just presented some great games for the iPhone in my last article, now it is the time to go to the class of useful applications that also work on the iPad.

And here, there is a large category, because people are really downloading them and it seems that it works and they are quite happy using those. So, let’s see which one of them gained the people’s touchscreens and also feel free to see a small top of these apps.

The first application that got famous is the StumbleUpon. Considered to be “the favorite time waster”, this application is very appreciated first of all because it is free and secondly, but not the last, because it offers the user the possibility to collect all the interesting things that can be found on the internet. It can be used both by iPhone and its bigger brother, the iPad.

Another app that has been classed on the second place is the Star Trek app. This one is not free, but its price is almost nothing, being only $4,99. Being a science application, this one transforms the iPad, because it is available only for the iPad this time, into a huge monitor from the Star Trek movie. Why? Well, you will be able to see in the most sci-fi way everything you are interested in on the internet, about science: knowledge about ships, information about aliens and all sorts of encyclopedias.

The third place has been conquered by Lessmore book reader with interactive features. This application represents a combination between a book reader and a game, because you actually have the possibility to read and at the same time to be involved in the story, giving colors to the items, helping the first character to pass through the chapters and so on. This is quite an adventure for those who love to combine the books with the games. It costs $4,99, which I really consider a small price for all the work this app hides inside it.

The forth place is occupied by Panamp, a great music player for iPhone. It is far better than the one that can be found on the iPod, because of its new features and the ease with which you can search for the songs and create a playlist. It costs $2,99 and it is available at the App store.

And finally the fifth place is of the TiVo. This application made for the iPhone and for the iPad is for free and it represents a remote control and a program guide. So, if you have a TiVo box set then you must have it, because it will help you manage your recordings and not only.

So, this is my top regarding the apps of the week. So, what do you guys? Is one of them among your favorite ones?11
