Milan Fashion Week

Milan Fashion Week started on Wednesday, September 22 and was opened by a Gucci presentation.
The designer elegant clothing pieces included in the line presented on the catwalk didn’t disappoint the fashion experts present in Italy for this major fashion event. The 2011 Spring Summer collection was dominated by elegance and creativity.

Milan Fashion Week, which started on Wednesday, means more than 169 collections of 71 international brands presented in an event that is going to last six days. And if Gucci started the presentation on Wednesday, the show will be continued by Fendi and Prada on Tuesday, while Moschino and Versace will set their shows on Friday. Armani‘s new Spring Summer collection will be presented on Saturday, while Salvatore Ferragamo will set the catwalk show on Sunday, as well as Dolce & Gabbana, followed by Roberto Cavalli on Monday. So, as you can see, all major names in fashion will take the stage on Milan Fashion Week.

“Men have had enough of steel-nerved zippy women,” Lina Sotis, a local journalist said. “The daywear style is chaste but sensuous and free. Long skirts are accompanied by wide bags that contain all a real woman needs for her busy day, from personal items to office papers,” the journalist added.

But, it was Gucci’s night and the designer’s house created an unexpected show in the last night fashion event. “I’ve never seen before so many people taking an active part in the fashion events. A number of fashion lovers also watched the catwalks live transmission,” a Gucci representative said regarding the Wednesday show. The show began by presenting clothing elements popular in the 1970s and ended with glamorous designs. “I was influenced by ’70s photographers like Guy Bourdin,” Frida Giannini, the Gucci house creative director said. “I got inspired by Morocco, when I was there shooting our ad campaign,” she added. Ethnic twists besides the Indian-origin harem pants, evening dresses with jade or orange feathers, gold snakeskin belts, colors and prints, precious stones such as jade, deep purple, burnt orange, were all part of the Gucci show.

Frida Giannini, the label’s designer managed to create a nice impression with her line. The designer promised from the beginning that this year they will come with something very different than what Gucci has showed until now and it seems that the designer respected that promise.

However, now that Milan Fashion Week has started all the attention will be focused on the city that at least for six days will be the fashion capital of the world.11

mbt shoes for women have a curved pivot sole that copies walking on soft moss. The sole turns even, flat ground into uneven terrain. The mbt women shoes challenges the muscles to work harder with every step you take. The unique curved sole works by providing instability and makes the muscles of your body more engaged and also helps burn more calories. The women’s mbt shoes challenges the hard to reach muscles in your legs, but also works the abdominal, back, buttock, and thigh muscles. With every stride, the instability activates the whole body in concert and tones as it stimulates different areas.
