Helping nature with the direct purchase of renewable energy
Nature has become an important topic for many international organizations, due to the fact that many people start to get involved in projects which have the purpose to protect nature and they realize the importance of ecology nowadays when the pollution and global heating are getting more and more threatening.
Starting with 2007, a campaign is developing voluntarily, with the purpose to get responsible and to realize the importance of the carbon emissions. The most important aim of this project is to find solutions to change something in the people’s way of thinking are to make them more responsible for the way nature looks like.
People who are developing this important project have found three ways to reduce the carbon footprint. The first idea was, of course, reducing the energy consumption by building some data centers, which are the world’s most energy efficient at the time.
The second step is to create renewable energy with the help of one of the largest corporate solar installations. A similar technology was used in Mountain View, CA, and the results were amazing.
Finally, the 3rd way engineers want to reduce the carbon threat is to purchase carbon offsets, but only for the emissions that cannot be directly eliminated.
A 20-year Agreement was completed, which allows specialists to take the responsibility for the renewable energy sector. On 30 of July they will purchase the cleaning from 114 megawatts of wind generation, located in the NextEra Energy Resources Story County II in Iowa.
This project is designed for long-term, estimated at 20 years, and because the period is so long, the developer of the wind farm has a financial certainty which allows him to develop additional clean energy projects and in this way to help more this new and interesting domain.
The fact that in the past, developers like this kind couldn’t obtain financing turned very inhibitory for them, but now with the new projects they can create more renewable energy for the customers, several years from now on.
Basing of the fact that Google needs large quantity of electricity to power, specialists from Google decided to get involved in many actions which have the purpose to support the renewable energy.
The fact that Google services are provided with the help of the most energy efficient data centers and that they try to work in order to be carbon neutral, the success of actions like this is almost guaranteed.
