Klaus Maier is the president of Mercedes – Benz China. He has recently begun a campaign for the protection of panda bears. The giant polar bear is without any doubt, is the symbol and the national treasure of China.

As this is a species that is in jeopardy, it needs more support to assure its long term survival. Moreover, the devastating earthquake from Sichuan that took place last year, destroyed more than the humans homes, but as well the home of these adorable creatures. The conservation of the China Panda bears is as well a sign of peace towards China.

In august, 2009 they announced their adoption of the first Panda bears twins this year – Xing Hui and Xing Rui. This was their start in demonstrating the involvement in this species protection.  The action taken at this moment, will have an important influence on the next generations.

- at four months they want to be independent

- at half a year old they enter the panda kindergarten  along with the other panda little bears

- at an year and a half they leave the kindergarten and go all the way to the Baozi mountains

- at three years old they become conscious of the space around them

- at five years and a half of age they reach maturity.
