Have you ever wondered how some people have got to thousands of followers on Twitter? The answer is that most are experienced bloggers, which generally based on their loyal visitors to increase their presence on Twitter. In this article we try to see how you can take advantage of the boom of Twitter, in order to become more influential and make your voice heard: in the end Twitter is an ideal tool for promotion.

Links to profile

Take advantage of every opportunity to make your presence known. Let your acquintances know about you on Facebook, Hi5 or any other social network. Tell them that you have a profile on Twitter as well. Put links to your profile in the comments you post on the Internet. Often the forms of comments on various sites have a section for the website, fill it with your address on Twitter. Most likely, there will be some people, which will like your commenty and will want to know more from you. In addition, if you have a blog or a site you can easily direct your loyal visitors to your account with a button like “Follow me on Twitter”.

People like people

People are by nature sensitive, we are not interested in various machines or corporations. Or at least, not that much. As such, whether you use your personal photo to your Twitter profile or write occasionally about your thoughts, try to give a human face to your Twitter account. But try not to fall in the other extreme: eventually, the people follows you because you tell something interesting, not to hear all the time how you feel and what you have purchased recently.

Keywords

Write about your interesst and mark the keywords with hash (#). Your messages will be easier to find. There are people who are browsing the tweets by keywords (for example # WorldCup), and the hash-tags (as also called) works like discussion channels. If others find you interesting, they will follow you.

Get yourself noticed!

What is so great about Twitter is that it does not restrict in any way the messages between users. You do not even need to follow someone to send him a message. Write only the username, put (@) at the beginning and you can start talking. Now, if he answers you, his answer will be seen by all who follow him. And if we speak of a considerable number of followers, the chances are high for some of them to spot you, to read you and then follow you.

If you want to make an impact, try to chat with influential users, who have many followers, but to which you also have common interests. However try not to abuse it too much: against users which go over the limit, there is a button: “Block”.

Write often …

But leave room for reaction. There is no point in writing 10 tweets in 5 minutes, then shut for the rest of the day. Try to write constantly. The truth is that Twitter can be quite annoying when you write too often. And you would not want to confuse your reader, right? Let them instead to be able to keep the pace. Give them time to comment, to ask, to distribute.

Instead of The End

Remember, in the end everything is relative. The above principles are just common sense advice, but they do not guarantee you anything. Write from the heart and above all, write about what you love. When you do something that you like, it always turns out to be great.11
