Embracing a more eco-friendly lifestyle is not only about recycling or trying to cut out gas emissions or reducing the existing pollution; it’s also about picking the right products for your family and for the environment as well. It can also mean improving your health, padding your bank account, and, ultimately, improving your overall quality of life.

If you want some ultimate piece of advice from The Sierra Club on going green and keeping your lifestyle that way, then you should first do the following:

- Be selfish; going green in your personal choices will improve your health, state of mind, soul and body and in addition will save you money and detoxify your surroundings and making you more aware of the global issues.

-Think of others; eco-choices help animals and the biodiversity by reducing exploitation or animal cruelty through practices like animal experimentation.  Moreover, you have the chance of doing something good for the nature that has raised you beautifully and by contributing to the preservation of the eco diversity and the nature as a whole, is the best thing you can do to call yourself a friendly nature activist.

Oh, and by the way, did you know that 1.5 acres of rainforest are lost every second to land development and deforestation, with enormous losses to habitat and biodiversity?
