How To Use Google Alarm
Yes, it is about Google. Google, the search engine. Google, the producer of web browsers. Google, the manufacturer of mobile operating systems. Google News, Google Docs, YouTube, Google Reader, Google Analytics, Google Adsense, and so on. In short, we can tell Google, the king of the Internet or the ubiquitous Google.
The truth is that once you start browsing the Internet, you cannot use a program or an online application without Google being somewhere present in the making of that application or having shares in the company that produces the program. Google is in all and everything related to the Internet and not only feels the presence of Google. You use or not Google services, in one way or another you are still conected to the U.S. giant. You have no way out.
For some, this leaves them indifferent. For others, however, this is a serious problem. The latter tend to suspect that Google is spying on them and gathers information about them. We know that and Google has never hidden that the U.S. giant is in fact gathering information. The question is what does it do with them.

Alarm against Google
For those of you who are afraid of Google, there exist Google Alarm. This is an extension available for Firefox and Google Chrome, which which has the purpose of alerting you when you encounter, directly or indirectly, a service made by Google. Google Alarm only serves to notify you, it does not block any Google service. The author of the extension is himself one of those who does not like Google too much.
How this works?
Once installed, the Google Alarm extension will monitor the sites loaded on the computer and will find any reference to Google. When it will find in the loaded pages a code which has something to do with Google, it will alert you. And it will do this in a noisy way: the alarms will sound very powerful. Once the audible alarms will be heard, will be displayed also visual notifications too. They appear on the right and show you what Google services have been detected.

The installation can be performed directly from the official website of the extension. There you can choose between the versions that are loud or quiet. If you’re at an office and you use speakers, I recommend the silent version. Otherwise, this could jeopardize the relations with your colleagues.
The only result, apart from the short fun, is the less stress is caused by the sound of the alarms. Sorry for those of you who hoped to get rid of Google. The resistance is futile, and this extension will not help in this regard. In the best case, Google Alarm will feed the paranoia of some. It like when someone says online is not the same thing as offline. As movie and music producers should change their business model to fold on modern technologies, so we must understand that the privacy and safety of some of our data is a ghost on Internet.11
