Increasing gun sales backed up by Second Amendment
After the Supreme Court decided in June that everyone has the right to bear arms for their own protection, the owners of Midwest Sporting Goods, a shop that is selling handguns, started noticing an increasing number of customers.
With the 28 year ban on handgun ownership in Chicago being over, more people come to the shop to exercise their Second Amendment rights. There are still some restrictions and waiting periods related to the guns purchase, but the gun sellers are anticipating a major increase in sales during the next period of time. The Chicago’s ban on handguns and automatic weapons, caused by the violence from the city, had been the strictest in the United States, although there are other states, such as New York, that have very strict laws for obtaining firearms permits.

Encouraged by the recent legal victory in Chicago, the gun rights advocates and the National Rifle Association will continue fighting for the free access to guns all over America. The gun manufacturing in the United States, represented by agencies like Smith & Wesson, will register a huge increase in their revenues, and their shares popped immediately after the court ruling from around 4.10 dollars to 4.30 dollars. But the stock has fallen again under the 4 dollars bound, because the company is under investigation by the Department of Justice for bribing foreign officials and violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
