Jeff Conaway Dies At 60

Jeff Conaway died at the age of 60 after two weeks of coma
Actor Jeff Conaway has died on Friday after two weeks of being in a coma. The star was 60 years old.
It seems that the star had been under treatment at Encino Hospital, but he was taken off life support. He was first transported to the medical center on May 11. In fact, when the actor was transported at the hospital it all happened after being found unconscious, state in which he actually remained for about 9 hours before someone reached to him.
Jeff Conaway has been suffering from pneumonia and sepsis. However, his condition that let to the coma development was linked to his addiction problems. It has been claimed that a drug overdose has led to the condition, but the rumors on this subject turned out to be untrue after all. But, sources explained that the drug addiction still is to blame for his death, but indirectly, as because of his drug issues, the actor refused to receive treatment for pneumonia, and he actually never realized how severely ill he was. And it is well known the fact that the actor has been experiencing such addiction problems for years.
In fact, Dr. Drew Pinsky shared on his Twitter account that the star had been kept in a Propofol-induced coma. And the doctor explained, after finding out about the death of Jeff Conaway, that there is no evidence on the fact that the star had taken an overdose and that might have led to his coma and death. “I’m saddened to report he has succumbed to his addiction, thus far we have no evidence of an intentional overdose, rather this is the natural history of prescription drug addiction, pneumonia, septic shock, etc,” Dr. Drew Pinsky tweeted. So, although Jeff Conaway did not die because of a drug overdose, drugs did play a huge part in his death, as it was because of the addiction that his body could not resist any longer and be responsive to the treatment. “Jeff is another pharmaceutical death from the overutilization of prescription drugs. Please continue to pray for friends and family. They appreciate your support,” Drew Pinsky also added.
Actor Jeff Conaway is well known for his appearances in movies such as “Taxi” and “Grease.” The actor also appeared on “Celebrity Rehab” back in 2008. Then he admitted to have been addicted to cocaine, painkillers and also alcohol. These issues also seem to have brought his death, although not in a direct way, but by the damages they produced to the actor’s body during the years.11
