After being involved in a car accident, singer Jewel was released from the hospital, as both the star and her baby are doing well.
But, in fact that singer, who is pregnant with her first child, claims her Cadillac was the one who saved her life. Her vehicle was hit by a fire truck last week, while the star was on her way home, in Texas. And the 36 years old famous singer decided to share her thoughts about the accident that took place on Friday on her Twitter account. “[One] thing I do know is my car saved my & my baby’s life,” Jewel’s Twitter post said. And the singer added that she made a decision. “Definitely going 2 get another Cadillac SRX! It absorbed all the damage & kept me safe!” the star shared on Saturday according to Popeater.com.

However, now Jewel has been released from the hospital and she is doing really well, although she must rest to fully recover, so there will be no working out these days, the star mentioned. Anyway, this was actually the second message that Jewel shared after her accident, as he already let fans know that she was fine and of course she thanked everyone for their support.

But, most reports say that Jewel was really lucky that she managed to get away from the car crash with no injures, as photos from the incident show that her car was severely damaged. And in fact the messages shared by Jewel are not shocking at all, so there is no wonder that she thinks her car saved her life. Anyway, although Jewel and her baby are fine, there is no word on whether the driver of the fire truck, Jim Pack, was injured or not during the events.

Jewel and her husband Ty Murray are currently expecting their first baby, as the star is pregnant and due sometime during this spring. The couple currently lives in Stephenville, Texas. They wed in 2008, after many years of dating. Jewel and Ty have been trying for two years to conceive before the happy pregnancy news came, the star talking in different interviews about her battle with infertility. They are going to have a baby boy, Jewel announced in January. But, in fact the singer and her husband are also known for being cast in the eighth season of “Dancing with the Stars,” but due a severe injury, Jewel was unable to continue working at the show.
