Jules And Grayson Stick Together

The cutest couple of them all, Grayson and Jules, is still going to be together this season

For those who love the Grayson – Jules couple of Cougar Town , there’s some good news. The couple is so strong that they won’t split, like ‘normal’ TV couples do. You know, they get together for an episode or two and then they suddenly split, for no good reason.

This is not what is going to happen to Jules (played by Courtney Cox) and Grayson (played by Josh Hopkins), because everyone seems to love them. The runner of the show, Kevin Biegel, said they were good. “The typical thing to do would be to have things go well for a little bit, then somewhere midway through the season you go, ‘Oh jeez, they are hitting a rough patch!’ and then at the end of the season you say, ‘Oh no, what are we going to do break them up?’” Well, thank God Cougar Town is not typical at all! It seems that having a normal couple functioning on TV is not such a bad idea after all. “I just like them together as a couple, and like seeing a normal functioning couple on television where every week isn’t one of those episodes [where you think] ‘Is this the episode where they break up? Is this the relationship drama that they won’t be able to get over?’ No, it’s a couple, and they fight, they find a common ground, and things get a little more serious week to week,” said Kevin.

Anyway, the higher execs may decide to split them up. Kevin says there are three options. One, they could stay together, but not to have the attention focused on them at all times. Two, they could split the couple up and create a lot of drama. Three, they could get them more seriously involved and then break them up, because that wouldn’t work. “That’s not as interesting to me as the other two options because, why not? Jules met a guy, she likes him and maybe this thing will lead someplace next year,” said Kevin. Hopefully, they’ll keep the couple together, because Grayson playing that guitar is awesome!!! Plus, they look cute together!

In what concerns tonight’s episode, it seems that Jules’ dad is going to show up. Ken Jenkins (Dr. Kelso in Scrubs ) is going play this part, as Jules is a Southern girl and the man has everything he needs to be a Southern dad. “We knew right away that we wanted him to be her father on the show because Courtney is playing a Southern girl,” gushes Kevin. “And Ken is a total Southern guy. He’s got an accent, he loves just hanging out playing his guitar in the back of his truck, so it was just perfect. The character is a charming Southern gentleman, and he totally fit in perfectly with the cast.”

As Kevin put it, the episode is about Jules reconnecting with her father, after her mother passed away. Tonight’s episode is going to be a dramatic one, until the very end when everyone will be amazed and surprised! If you want to see the new episode, stay tuned on ABC, tonight at 9:30.11
