Kaka hopes for the last chance
For sure one of the biggest football players in the world, Ricardo Kaka still needs to wait four years for the next World Cup tournament in order to check the cup he never had the opportunity to hold. The former AC Milan’s striker and now Real Madrid’s star showed himself pretty sad regarding his missing opportunity to progress into the semi final with Brazil. The team just lost their quarter final in South Africa against the Netherlands who struggled and overcame the 1-0 Brazil leading, beating Dunga’s side with 2-1 to reach the semis.Concerning his frustration, Kaka declared: “There were moments when I didn’t think I was going to make it to the World Cup but my team mates gave me support and helped me to keep fighting. Only I know how much I fought to get here. I wanted more, I wanted to get to the final, I wanted to challenge for our sixth world title. We lost on the details, on two set pieces, and this causes a feeling of pain and frustration. I know how painful it is for those who are suffering with us and they can know that we are suffering as well.”
The Brazilian, now 28, mentioned is too early for him to think what will happen until 2014, when Brazil itself will host the World Cup tournament, and he only can reflect about their exit: “I don’t know what’s going to happen from here on. It’s a very difficult moment for me, in my career,” ending: „It’s still a long way off and this defeat is very recent. At this moment, I have to reflect.”11
