Levi Johnston, soon to be the next mayor of Wasilla?
Levi Johnston is planning to try and run for the city office in Wasilla, Alaska, the same place where Sarah Palin, the ex-Alaska governor and former candidate for vice president start her political career.
His run for the office will be recorded under the name of “Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor’s Office”, a reality show that is telling the story of the 20 years old single father who is trying to find his way into the political world. Canaan Rubin, the executive producer of the strange combination between a soap opera and a documentary, says that they will be following the young matinee idol as he prepares to begin the race for the mayor’s office of Wasilla.
The series is supposed to tell the story of Levi’s tumultuous life while he is also raising his son, Tripp and he is running for the leadership of his fellow Wasillians. This is a way to let people know what is like to be a father, a skilled hunter, an avid dirt biker and an aspirant to the political stage of a small town. Of course, he will have to get his high school diploma first. He has had a long career already, and his resume includes posing for Playgirl, starring in Kathy Griffin’s “My Life on the D-List” and guest starring in a music video with aspiring pop singer Brittani Senser. He also announced that he and Bristol Palin broke up again.
Johnston says that there is much more that he can offer than what the world has already seen and says that this is what the show is all about. Running for the mayor’s office is going to be the biggest part of the show, sprinkled with bits of his life in Hollywood and of his real life in Alaska. He said that he will be different to follow while he is traveling from Hollywood to Alaska and back, but this is what people who want to know him better should do, because basically he is part from both. Johnston will be helped at the start of his political career by his campaign manager, Tank Jones, the man who negotiated his spread for Playgirl. The only problem is that Wasilla’s mayor chair will not be free until the 2012 elections, but he says that this will not hold him back; he will run for the city council in the mean time. There are rumors around that Johnston is trying to copy the political career of Sarah Palin, but Tank Jones says that even if the plan is to go for the governor’s office if they succeed in the mayor elections, they are not trying to copy anybody, but they believe that Levi can better fulfill these two political position than anyone before him because his real purpose is helping people.
