Lily Allen Is Battling Septicaemia
Only days after losing her baby, Lily Allen is battling septicaemia. The singer was hospitalized last night after being taken to the medical center by ambulance.
But, unfortunately, this is not the only bad news for Lily Allen, who was at home recovering after suffering from a miscarriage when she had to be taken to the hospital with septicaemia, a potentially lethal blood-poisoning condition which supposes a bacterial infection of the blood. The condition can occur after a miscarriage and Lily Allen was pregnant in her sixth month when she miscarried.
Lily Allen and her boyfriend Sam Cooper were expecting their first child together, and the singer was devastated with the loss. However, this was the second miscarriage for Allen, who had to go through a similar experience in 2008, when she was still dating Ed Simons. She described her first miscarriage dating back in 2008 as the worst experience of her life.
The hospitalization on Friday night was confirmed by Allen’s spokesman who said that the singer is currently being treated for septicemia. But, “She is responding well to treatment and her condition continues to improve,” the spokesman added. “Lily thanks everyone for their messages of support and again asks that she and partner Sam Cooper be left alone whilst she recovers.” However, the singer is receiving the best case for her condition at the moment. Anyway, before being admitted to hospital, Allen thanked all her fans for their support after the miscarriage. She wrote on her Twitter page that she still is very sick, “but the messages are helping me to be stronger.” “Thank you for all your kind messages,” she added according to The Toronto Sun.
Lily Allen and Sam Cooper, aged 32, have been together since last year and the singer often described her boyfriend as the love of her life. She has released so far two best selling albums, “Alright, Still” and “It’s Not Me, It’s You.” The 25 years old singer is responding well to the treatment according to different sources. She revealed her pregnancy during this summer and announced it publicly when she was in her third month and when she knew that everything was going well. However, according to The Guardian, in an earlier interview, Lily mentioned that she feared some complications will occur and she also said that she was “living in fear” of losing the baby. It seems that the pregnancy has been difficult from the beginning.11
