Lindsay Lohan Was Too Busy To Return The Necklace
If Lindsay Lohan had stolen the necklace, as she currently is accused, or not it’s about to find out, but the actress is definitely looking for an excuse to justify the fact that she had in her possession the missing jewelry.
So, the 24 years old actress says the reason why she was in the possession of the necklace reported missing was actually given by the simple fact that she forgot to return it, at least this is what the police report obtained by TMZ said. The document settles that Lindsay’s assistant was to return the necklace and in fact, Lindsay had every intention to do so, but she was just too busy and she forgot about it, all due her crazy schedule, at least this is what the assistant told the cops. However, Lindsay is now accused of stealing the $2,500 necklace. “Ms. Lohan was in possession of the necklace and wanted to give the necklace back to the store the day after she took it from the store, but she was very busy,” the assistant said according to The Vancouver Sun.
However, it surely seems that now there were many aspects clarified when it comes to Lindsay’s actions in handling this story. The report claims that once Lindsay Lohan heard that the police were involved in the case she realized she forgot to return the necklace, and she called at the jewelry store to take the necklace back there, but no one picked up the phone. That was the moment when the actress decided to send her personal assistant with the necklace at the police to clarify the situation. But, reports claimed once the news broke that Lindsay decided to return the jewelry only when she found that cops were about to search into her home, as a warrant was issued on her name.
But, the whole story is still regarded at with many questions. For example, it is asked how Lindsay knew which was the exact necklace that the store reported missing if she is innocent. However, Lindsay Lohan never claimed she did not take the jewelry, but said she only borrowed it with the store’s permission and forgot to give it back to its owners.
But, if there are quite a few bad news for Lindsay, there also is at least a good news. The judge on Lindsay’s probation violation case was removed and replaced with Judge Keith Schwartz. This is good news for the young actress because Judge Elden Fox has already told her he would send her to jail if she got into trouble again. And Lindsay definitely managed to find troubles, despite her desire to start all over after her three months rehab stint within Betty Ford Center. But, still, Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, said that there are no reasons for the actress to be sent to jail or to believe that her actions meant a probation violation, so the actress is not expecting the worse out of her progress hearing that is set to take place later this month. However, after the 23 February hearing, Lindsay Lohan could return back to jail, but she can also avoid prison, so it’s about to see what happens.
Lindsay Lohan has already pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against her, involving felony grand theft. And she wanted to make that clear also in front of her fans. “I would never steal, in case people are wondering,” the actress wrote on her Facebook page according to the New York Daily News. “I was not raised to lie, cheat, or steal,” she added in her message, so if the jewelry store did not gave Lindsay the necklace on loan, it was all a big misunderstanding. However, if found guilty she could face up to three years in jail, although it is not very likely for the star to receive such a sentence. Her first hearing on this case was set to be taking place this month.11
