Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Or The Iranian Dream Of World Leading
Well known for his dreams of grandeur and his violent anti-Semitism, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad delivered a speech on the second day of the UN anti-poverty summit, urging world leaders, thinkers and global reformers “to spare no effort” to install a new world order.
Even though it was all about an anti-poverty summit the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad failed to mention anything about the Millennium Development Goals in his speech to the 192-member General Assembly.
Criticizing capitalism and its effects on the world’s countries, the Iranian dictator did not fail to mention the evils of capitalism and what he called its “unjust government structures”.
According to Tehran’s leader, the “unjust government structures” and “transactional corporations” which are to be found in the West, are to be blamed for the woes and grief existing in the world today.
Coming from a country facing an islamofascist regime, regime founded thirty-one years ago by Ayatollah Khoemeni, and moreover being the leader of this country, one cannot hold himself from wondering if all the people living there are completely satisfied with the way their lives evolve and do not secretly yearn for the much blamed capitalism. Most surely the mullahs, all those Muslims that have been educated in Islamic theology and sacred law, embrace the president’s view on capitalism as well as his desire to annihilate Israel.
Investing more money in its effort to develop nuclear weapons, instead of making use of the oil reserves to be found there, thus trying to abolish poverty, Iran seems to be a quite disputed and controversial country. Iran seems to find nuclear energy economically desirable.
In the mentioned new world order, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad most surely envisioned Iran in the leadership role within the Muslim world, being able to dominate the entire world. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad proposed Tuesday that the United Nations name the current decade the Decade for Joint Global Governance.
Being well known for his fanatical religious fervor, it appears that not even when addressing a UN General Assembly meeting he doesn’t give up his dreams. He never let way to practical realities, accepting other views than his own.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s speech seems to confirm the general idea that once having the nuclear power and achieving its goal of destroying Israel, anything becomes possible.
According to Ahmadinejad the US has to accept that his country has a major role in world affairs. “The future belongs to Iran”, he told the Associate Press news agency.
Ahmadinejad came to New York being sure that talks over Iran’s disputed nuclear program will continue as “there is no alternative”, according to Iran’s president words.
According to him new talks over Iran’s nuclear policies are “bound to happen”.
Playing his role of leader of a country that remains untouched by the economic sanctions imposed in the last three months on Tehran, President Ahmadinejad’s nuclear program seems to have remained unaltered.
Among the sanctions that have been enforced against Tehran one can enumerate cutting off the investment in Iran’s energy sector, limiting the country’s access to international banking and punishing Iranian officials getting involved in the nuclear program matters.
Turning to other countries seemed to be the solution that the Iranian president found in order to be able to compensate for the loss of trade and investment. Concluding new energy deals with China, India, and Western Europe, countries badly in need for oil and gas, has proved to be a good solution meant to help him form a group of support for the nuclearization of Iran.
The policy adopted by Ahmadinejad proved to be right, as China and Russia have been reluctant when it came to enforcing tougher sanctions on Iran.
In the speeches he delivered, Ahmadinejad blamed U.S. for not being able to solve the nuclear standoff.
Therefore, it seems that Iran is the good factor in all this story. At least this is what President Ahmadinejad appears to be saying.
Warning Washington not to interfere in Iran’s internal affairs, the Iranian leader stated speaking to American media representatives before this appearance at the UN Development Goals summit in New York, that up to now the US had never known nor won a serious war. He also seemed to threaten US, saying that if the US starts a war against Iran it will be a war having “no limits”, as he said.
Being accused of making use of the nuclear energy programme in order to hide more serious issues like the developing of nuclear weapons, Iran adopted an attitude of supremacy.
At least this is what President’s Ahmadinejad attitude transmits to us.
Ahmadinejad’s speeches seem to quite contradictory. On one hand he is well known for having militated for Israel’s destruction, condemning what he calls the “Zionist and racist regime”. Yet, we talk about the same man who praised such virtues as peace and justice before the UN yesterday, calling for the establishment of what he called the Decade for Joint Global Governance and transforming himself into some kind of a preacher of good deeds and compassion.
Do we talk about the same man? Can one accept and live with an Iran having the nuclear power and threatening to exterminate Israel?
The main contradictions arise when talking about the Iranian President’s constant pride in relation to his country’s nuclear facilities and him considering to be properly allowed to develop them as he wishes. Yet, he denies any intent to develop nuclear weapons.
But what is more scaring is the fact that he doesn’t intend to give up his plans to wipe Israel off the map.
It is the same man who addressed the UN General Assembly yesterday. It is somehow scaring that such people are left to talk about whatever they wish, expressing their rather scaring, contradictory and controversial views on the so called world’s welfare.
Being often compared to Hitler in both his dreams of grandeur and his visceral anti-Semitism, Ahmadinejad seems to be pursuing a very accurately established plan.
This plan is meant to make him achieve his dreams of making Iran the world’s supreme leader. In this pursuit, Iran has become one of Israel’s most vehement enemies, planning to wipe this one from the world’s map by means of using nuclear weapons.
And so far, it seems Iran has the weapons to do this. Having organized a military parade on the 30th anniversary of the start of the Iran-Iraq war, Iran displayed today an advanced missile.
The display also included a domestic unmanned bomber aircraft that Iran’s president has nicknamed the “ambassador of death.”
Therefore the question is: Can Iran pursue its criminal dreams?
