Man Commits Suicide During A Concert
Socking news was released on Thursday night when authorities said that a 32 years old man committed suicide. It all happened during a concert in the Mountain Winery, in the Saratoga hills, at the concert performed by the alternative-folk duo the Swell Season.
Hundreds of individuals were socked to hear that the man committed suicide after leaving his place at the concert that took place on Thursday night. Michael Edward Pickels of San Jose left his place at about 10 p.m. according to authorities. The spokesman for Santa Clara County Sheriff Office mentioned that “Next thing his friend and everyone at the concert sees is he’s standing on top of the roof and dove onto the stage.” The man went there to watch the concert with a friend and it seems that he and the rest of the people present there saw him after leaving his place, on the stage falling from about 20 to 30 feet, as the police consider.
Witnesses, people who went there to see the concert were numb and shocked, and at first no one knew what happened and where was such an unexpected event coming from. One of the witnesses, who was sitting near the stage declared that it happened when the band finished singing “When Your Mind’s Made Up.” Then, it the man jumped. “A giant black object just crashed next to the singer. I thought a light had fallen from the catwalk, or maybe a sound technician had fallen from the catwalk,” the men said, mentioning that at first they didn’t knew what happened. The band members were as shocked as the rest of the crowed.
A doctor came shortly after, in the attempt to help the suicidal individual. Of course, the show was canceled the members of the band posting a message on their official web page to express their sorrow. “The band, crew and all involved with them are shocked and saddened by the unfortunate events of last night. Our hearts go out to the victim … and to his friends and family,” they said.
Other details of this tragic event are still unknown, but police investigations are on the run. How did he managed to climb there and what made him jump are probably just some the questions that people who saw the tragedy are asking. They were there for the music, but, in the end it turned out that they saw a tragedy.
