Man fell over 30 feet at Rangers vs. Indians
There was a 16 minutes delay during the Rangers match against the Indians, when a male fan fell from the second deck on the Arlington, Texas stadium. The fan was trying to catch a stray ball when he lost his equilibrium and fell over the seats under him. The man had fallen over 30 feet, and according to the Dallas Morning News he remained in hospital for observation the next day. Indians player Trevor Crowe said that he saw the man falling from his seat, and declared that this was one of the scariest images that he had ever seen.
The man was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital immediately and the doctors that checked his response to external stimuli said that he was in a good state and was able to move his hands and feet. During the falling fan hit four other people that needed treatment too. The railing that is enclosing the upper deck had already been raised with a few inches after a woman fell 35 feet six years ago and had a few broken ribs and a broken arm. President Nolan Ryan declared that the railings meet the right specifications and he promised that more warning signs will be placed in that area.
