A man was shot and killed after he handed out his wallet to a robber while he was waiting for his order at a fast food drive-thru in San Bernardino County.
According to what the coroner said, the man known by the name Joshua Huizar (HOO’-ee-zar) was declared dead Sunday at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. It seems that the man was at a Taco Bell in Rialto together with an 18-year old girl, waiting for their order, when a robber came and claimed for his wallet. Huizar gave his wallet away and when the man who was robbing him tried to also steal some things from the Taco Bell, Huizar wanted to drive away. However, he could not do it, as the gunman shot him.
The police officers are still looking for the suspect. They think that this crime may be linked to other robberies that have happened at fast food restaurants. According to what Rialto Officer Dave Shepherd told the Riverside Press-Enterprise, there may be some sort of a connection between the man who shot Joshua Huizar and the other fast food robberies that happened in the area.11
