Mel And Oksana Meet In Court Again

Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva will be in court on Monday for a new hearing in the custody battle for their daughter Lucia. From the last court meeting of the famous Hollywood actor and his former girlfriend, hundreds of court documents were leaked and obtained by TMZ.
And this wasn’t the only controversial event of last week when it comes to the two and their endless issues. Oksana Grigorieva decided to talk in Larry King’s CNN show and of course she mentioned different details regarding her domestic violence accusations against Mel. The Russian born singer and her lawyer were both guests in the show. Now, probably Mel Gibson’s lawyers will try and use this interview and the statements made by Oksana, in court, in Mel’s favor. Mel’s lawyers have already decided to make no comments on the allegation brought by the singer, citing confidentiality requirements in a family law case, according to CNN news.

But, as already known, the custody battle is not the only legal issue these two have. Both Mel and Oksana are involved in two different legal battles. The Los Angeles County district attorney is still investigating and considering the evidence obtained in the domestic violence accusations against Mel. And if Oksana accused her former boyfriend of assaulting her, Mel decided to accuse the mom of his one year old child of extortion. And again detectives are still investigating the case, Gibson claiming that Oksana tried to extort him with the recording she made when he called her.

However, according to TMZ, Oksana Grigorieva is ready to face Gibson again, although the actor said in court that she is not looking for the best interest of the child. It was reported that Oksana asked to judge to not allow Lucia have overnight visits to Mel, because she is afraid for the girl’s security while being with her dad, asking also for supervised visitation. Mel, on the other hand, asked the judge to deny these claims. But, the judge will also have to decide today how much time will Mel be allowed to spend with Lucia and the sum he must pay as child support.

But, if for Oksana this case has no direct consequences when it comes to her career, for Mel the decisions that the judge will take can actually mean the end of his acting and directing career. Although some say that his image will not be totally damaged no matter the decision, others claims that regardless of what the judge will decide, Gibson’s image is too seriously damaged and even though the judge will decide that he can be a good dad for Lucia, his career is irremediably affected and it is hard to think he will ever be back. Anyway, unfortunately for Mel Gibson there were too many details of this case made public, too many accusations and statements and so this will probably remain one of the biggest celebrity scandals of the past years. However, many other Hollywood celebrities have been involved in huge scandals and after all they managed to remain successful in the industry. Maybe this will also be the case for Mel Gibson. Still, today will definitely be a very interesting day in court for Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva.11
