Men Are More Likely To Be Caught When Cheating
So, when cheating men are not very good at hiding their action, compared to women. Study shows that men are two times more likely to be caught then women because they leave many tracks of their action. Well, men are not very good at covering the fact that they are cheating and this is what researchers say they have discovered after interpreting the date obtained in a recent poll from IllicitEncounters.com.
Women on the other hand, are better at hiding the fact that they are not completely dedicated to their partner. Researchers say that women can hide their affairs because they are much better at keeping “clean” emails, texts and social networking sites, compared to men and the differences between genders from this point of view are not to neglect according to researchers. So, probably this is the reason why the study found that 50 percent of men were exposed with their cheating because of a text, mail or phone call, while the same happened for only 21 percent of women.
Women are more attentive to details, while men are more careless. They usually let their close belongings such as the cell phone lying around. And women are also more likely to search their husband cell phone or email. “We find men can be surprisingly reckless when it comes to disguising their affairs. Women are far more careful to log out of private email accounts and Facebook and keep separate email addresses and SIM cards specifically for their lover’s use,” one of the researchers said according to the Daily Mail.
The study revealed that one in ten male cheats are discovered, while only one in 20 women cheats are being exposed. And women are also better in covering the fact that they cheat. 40 percent of the women that are in this situation use friends as alibis to be able to justify the time spent with the lover. And we already know that women have close friendships and so, they are covered. But men, on the other side, think that is they will tell someone they are seeing another women they will be caught. So, they opt to keep all the details for themselves and never tell the secret no matter in which situations they find themselves to be. Researchers have found that only 6 percent of men use the “friend alibi” which is a very low number compared with the percent of women that are in this situation. “Women are also more likely to tell their friends and create a network of ‘affair friends’ who can cover for them if things get sticky,” the same specialist said.
Does this mean that in fact women cheat more than men, but it is just that they are not caught? Manchester Metropolitan University psychologist, Dr David Holmes said that many women are having affairs, but their way of acting is completely different to the one of men and the biggest difference is given by the fact that they are really good at hiding the relationship. “They are better liars because they’re more psychologically sophisticated. You can argue about whether it’s nature or nurture, but women are programmed to be much more relationship and people orientated than men,” the doctor declared according to the Daily Mail. “Emotionally, they make plans and have strategies, while men are more impulsive,” he added.
Well, is he right? Do women cheat more than men, but they are better liars and actors than their male partners? Why do people cheat after all? Isn’t it better to end a relationship that is not working?11
