Michael Lohan Arrested On Domestic Violence Charges

It seems that Lindsay is not the only troubled person in the Lohan family. Michael Lohan has recently been arrested.
According to a Radar Online report, Michael Lohan was arrested in West Hollywood on late Monday night. In seems that the arrest occurred on domestic violence related charges. In fact, there were three felony charges listed on Lohan’s name the same report indicated, and they included “preventing the report of victimization, false imprisonment and inflicting corporal injury on a cohabitant.”

Well, it looks like the police were called on the scene of the events by someone who reported that a domestic violence incident took place in an apartment in West Hollywood. Michael’s victim suffered minor injures during the incident, the police report said, but she refused however medical care. And it seems that the victim was Michael’s girlfriend, whom Michael held in the apartment against her will and whom he prevented from calling 911. The name of the woman assaulted by Michael Lohan hasn’t been made public at this point. However, the sings of the assault were visible on the scene, cops claimed.

However, Michael Lohan wasn’t taken to jail, because when the cops were in the process of taking him into custody, he claimed that he was experiencing some pain, not related to the incident, but to a previous medical issue that he has been suffering from, and so the officers decided to transport him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. It seems that Lohan has been hospitalized and that he remained within the medical center under supervision. But, after being released from the hospital, Michael will be taken to the police station. A bail has already been set at $200,000, linked to the arrest that occurred on Monday night. However, this is by far the first legal trouble that Michael Lohan experiences. He has previously been arrested, the charges also including allegations of harassing some former girlfriends.

“Mr. Lohan was arrested after we received a call around 9 p.m. regarding a domestic dispute. He was detained after he was spotted walking on the street near our station. He showed no signs of intoxication that I’m aware of and has been cooperative,” a statement released by Lt. Ratto said according to People magazine. It seems that it all started with an argument that turned into being violent. And the fact that Michael Lohan has his own issues in not shocking at all, in fact the star being under treatment on Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab, while the reason why the 50 years old star check into the program was linked to his anger problems.

On the other hand Lindsay Lohan, Michael’s famous daughter, has her own troubles with the law. The 24 years old actress will have to decide if she will accept a plea deal that will include some jail time linked to the grand theft charges that were brought against the star after being accused of stealing a $2500 necklace from a jewelry store. Lindsay has made no decision yet when it comes to the case, as reports indicated that all the star wants is to avoid jail, thing that can not be done if the case will be settled in front of the judge. However, the young actress can opt to go to trail and face a jury in her attempt to prove that she is actually innocent. Anyway, Lindsay will have to make her decision by Wednesday, when her lawyer will need to tell the judge if the star will accept or not the plea deal. Anyway, as already mentioned, if Lindsay accepts a deal, she will return to jail. The star has already said that she is not guilty and that the store accused her only to obtain money and free publicity.11
