Michigan serial stabber makes 16th victim
Police have confirmed finding the 16th stabbed victim as the authorities keep searching for a serial stabber suspected of killing five people and injuring a total of sixteen on the streets from the Flint area.
David Leyton, the Genesee County Prosecutor, said that the last victim was a 27 years old man from Flint which told the Michigan State Police that he walking alone on the north side of the city on the morning of 27th July, when a white man cam to him under the pretext that he was asking for directions and then stabbed him three times. The black victim was treated at a nearby hospital and then released, and that makes a total of 16 victims, out of which 14 are black. The victim told the police that the suspect was driving a dark green Chevy S-10 Blazer with tan trim, a car which could have been manufactured somewhere between 1995 to about 2004. The same car has been seen in the assaults in Toledo, Ohio and Leesburg. The police from Northern Virginia said that they believe the killer from Michigan was responsible for the three attacks that happened there. Joseph R. Price, the Leesburg Chief of Police said that he is almost certain that the author of the last week stabbings and the Michigan murders is a white man. The description of the suspects is the same in both states as well as the description of the car, but there is no other information linking them.

The victims from Leesburg are two men of African-American origin and a young Latino man who had a very dark complexion and almost all of the victims from Michigan were black. There is another investigation going on in Toledo, Ohio, where the police is trying to find out if the stabbing that critically injured a black church janitor, can be in connection with the serial stabber. The majority of the attacks from Michigan took place in Flint, which is situated 50 miles up from Detroit. Flint is a predominantly black city, so the investigators do not know if the attacks have a racial connotation or if the fact that almost all the victims are black is a coincidence. The situation is not the same in Leesburg, which is situated about 420 miles away, and where blacks represent 10 percent of the total population. This is where they jumped to the conclusion that the attacks might be racially motivated and targeting African-Americans. None of the victims was robbed since the serial stabbing began in Flint on the 24th of May and all the victims declared that they were walking by themselves when a man came to them and started asking for direction or for help with his car.
