Miley Cyrus will soon turn 18 and it seems that the superstar is hoping to celebrate her birthday with both her parents. Lately, the Cyrus family has been dealing with some difficulties, as Billy Ray and Tish are divorcing after 17 years of marriage.

Although Miley said that she will not take any sides in her parents’ divorce, the teenage star sees her birthday as a chance to get the family to spend some quality time together. Miley will turn 18 on November 23. But, the young star said that she is not planning on having a huge, wild party for her birthday. “I’m not going to go crazy,” she said. It is only going to be “a fun party and then maybe take a vacation with my family,” the young singer told MTV, adding that the whole family would need such a time off, but together.

Well, the Cyrus family hasn’t decided yet for a holiday place, but Miley said that she would love to go to the beach or somewhere near water. Will Billy Ray and Tish be on holiday together, with Miley? That is about to see, but the couple filed for divorce last month after 17 years of marriage. The one to file the divorce papers was Billy Ray Cyrus, and the 49 years old singer cited “irreconcilable differences” in the divorce papers. The couple gave no official reason for the separation and there is now wonder that rumors about a possible infidelity emerged. It was speculated that Tish, Miley’s 43 years old mom, had an affair with musician Bret Michaels, who she met when the singer recorded a duet with Miley, earlier this year. Tish denied the infidelity allegations and also did Bret Michaels who said he only had a professional relationship with the star and her family.

Although Miley Cyrus is doing her best to stay strong during this time, her parents divorce wasn’t the only event that made Miley need a vacation. She had gone through a breakup herself as she split from her boyfriend, actor Liam Hemsworth. The two first met in 2009 on the set of “The Last Song” and have been briefly separated during the summer. However, Miley managed to overcome her personal problems with her focus on her career and the singer was on the stage performing last night for this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards in Madrid. Again, Miley used a daring outfit. But, the singer already showed that she is not a child any longer, although she caused a great controversy when she posed topless for the cover of Vanity Fair, while being only 15 years old.

However, the outfit wasn’t the only thing debated when it comes to Miley’s visit to Spain. The actress and singer was spotted on Friday night drinking in a bar after returning from her rehearsal for the Sunday night show. Of course, Miley’s decision to drink was criticized by the media because the singer is still 17 years old, and although in Spain the legal age limit is 18, in the US you have to be 21 years old to be able to buy an alcoholic drink. However, Miley’s last night performance in Madrid probably was very much appreciated by her fans.
