Nokia N8 – 4 Million Units Shipped So Far
The Nokia N8 is one of the coolest smartphones we have gotten our hands on lately. Even if it has just been recently launched (the launching date was sometime in October of 2010), Brothersoft reported that this cell phone shipped about 4 million units by now.
The new N8 is considered to be quite the improvement compared to other smartphones that Nokia released on the market in 2010. It comes with a 3.5 inch display and a 12 MP back camera capable of taking pictures at a resolution of 4000 x 3000 pixels. While the camera is one of the strongest points of the N8, there are other features not to be neglected. The AMOLED responsive touchscreen is a beauty, along with the integrated wireless which allows internet browsing at a better speed than ever before. Ovi Maps 3.0 will “rock your world” as far as GPS in concerned and the anodized aluminum case is probably what makes this cell phone look so hot. The TV out HDMI port allows you to connect your N8 to a TV for better video watching.
This is a brief description of the smartphone which Nokia is hoping will get the company back on track, in order to face the competition. Since CES 2011 is knocking at the door, we have heard about some awesome devices prone to be revealed and unless Nokia comes up with something spectacular. We have already heard about LG’s surprise of the decade: the dual core LG Optimus X2 that will be launched at CES and the new Motorola Honeycomb tablet that came up with this cool teasing YouTube video, basically mocking Apple’s iPad and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab.
Even of Nokia is happy to have shipped 4 million units of this device, it is nothing compared to the shipments of the iPhone 4 and the Samsung Galaxy S, since the latter has shipped about 14 million smartphones so far.11
