Quran Game Play – Burning Quran, Not Burning Quran
The day is near to come, there is one more day and people are yet not decided regarding the Quran burning plan. As the Florida pastor has started to show off with his plan of burning couple of hundred of Quran on the day when people all over the world are anniversary nine years since the fatal experience, many had to suffer from, he is at the moment undecisive whether he will go on with his plan or not.
Many state officials and many members of the community have tried to make him change his mind and have showed him the consequences that this thing will have upon the entire U.S citizens, those living all over the world, but especially the troops that still are in Iraq and the troops that were sent in Afghanistan.
Nothing being able to make him change his mind, after some long talks that he had with a Muslim imam that had assured him that the proposed Islamic center could be moved away from the near World Trade Center, he changed his mind as for burning the Qurans on the day of 11th September.
According to Imam Feisal Abdu; Rauf made a statement according to which he never spoke to the pastor Jones nor does he know about any promise that was made to him. “I am glad that Pastor Jones has decided not to burn any Qurans,” Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf said in a statement. “However, I have not spoken to Pastor Jones or Imam Musri (of Florida). I am surprised by their announcement. We are not going to toy with our religion or any other. Nor are we going to barter. We are here to extend our hands to build peace and harmony.”
At the moment Jones said that he is now thinking and praying what to do next. If this is the case, they will not cancel the Quran burning but they will just “suspend” it. “Given what we are now hearing, we are forced to rethink our decision,” Jones said. “So as of right now, we are not canceling the event, but we are suspending it.”
This was on the day of Thursday, at Jones first conference appearance, where he appeared with Imam Muhammad Musri of the Islamic Society of Central Florida . This is the Imam that told him that the mosque will be moved from near the Ground Zero location. “I verified that three or four times with witnesses. I trust that man who gave me that. I believe he is a man of integrity, a man of his word, I do not believe that he lied to me.” In the same appearance Musri thanked Jones for having made it possible that the decision was reconsidered and that further talks will be held in this regard: “for making the decision today to defuse the situation and bring to a positive end what has become the world over a spectacle that no one would benefit from except extremists and terrorists.”
As the Ramadam holiday is at its end, Musri told the Church Pastor, that Muslims all over the world will have a violent reaction to his doings if he continues with this and even the clerical extremists will exploit the Quran burning plan and will trigger all their hatred towards the Americans.
Musri gave more explanations as he told the pastor he had no control whatsoever on the mosque construction and that he cannot reassure the pastor of the location of the mosque, being moved, but he can therefore, reassure that he will have the position as the mosque being relocated. So, the thing here is that the Imam was eager of sustaining the point that Jones shares and he will plead for it. “I told the pastor that I personally believe the mosque should not be there, and I will do everything in my power to make sure it is moved. But there is not any offer from there (New York) that it will be moved. All we have agreed to is a meeting, and I think we would all like to see a peaceful resolution.”
Obama himself pleaded with Jones, on Thursday, to rethink his initiative; “And as a very practical matter, I just want him to understand that this stunt that he is talking about pulling could greatly endanger our young men and women who are in uniform,” Obama said. “Look, this is a recruitment bonanza for al-Qaida,” Obama said of the planned burning. “You could have serious violence in places like Pakistan and Afghanistan.”
At some point, Obama is known to have agreed with the plan of building a mosque near the Ground Zero, thinking that Muslims were by right, able to build a mosque there.
However this whole thing may turn out eventually it is important, that Americans all over the world, embassies’ of America all over the world, pay more attention to every little thing, these days. In case, the pastor goes on with his plan ns, as nothing is yet known for sure, some violent protests will be held all over the world.
