Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf was taken an interview regarding his belief on the plans to build an Islamic center and a mosque near the ground zero place, where they will be able to be closer to what happened back then and as well they will be able to create a relationship between the religions.

Being invited at “Larry King Live” Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf told CNN’s Soledad O’Brien, he believes that if they agree to move the location, this will by all means signify that they accept the fact that the radicals have taken over.

He does not intend to make a religion more important than the other, he believes it would be useful to create a bridge between nations and between faiths, especially, as they are all fighting for the same things, in the end.

On each of the two or more sides, there are the radicals and then there are the moderates. The battle will be given between those two, there is important to know how and where the battle will take place and between who.

As far as the decision to move the center on another location will be taken, the Islam will believe that they are at war and violence against Americans will increase. This is not likely to be wanted to happen nor will this be ideal for the Americans in the situation that they are already facing.

Being asked whether he would even consider moving the site, he told that “nothing is off the table” “We are consulting, talking to various people about how to do this so that we negotiate the best and safest option.”

He is well aware of the fact that if he knew that this division will be so big and that this had such a big impact on them, he would not have chosen this location in the first place. Under no circumstance did they desire to do anything that could create more divisiveness between the populations.

Moreover, he as well speaks about the desire of the Church from Florida to burn a copy of Quran in the anniversary of the 9/11 this year. It is well known the fact that this will create very much controversy among the Muslims and they will not see the Americans population with good eyes. This will trigger more than just violence, but years of fights among the two nations, that really do not worth it. And all because of a small population that needs to express its beliefs.

In this regard he hopes that this church will reconsider doing this and he is well aware of the fact that the Americans have the possibility of freedom of expression but “With freedom comes responsibility,” he said. “This is dangerous to our national security and is also the un-Christian thing to do. … Jesus said to love your enemy. We are not your enemy.”

According to a survey more than 70 percent of the Americans living in the City of New York oppose this construction, and told this, Imam responded that he had a vision: “a vision I’ve had for almost 15 years … to establish a space that embodies the fundamental beliefs that we have as Jews, Christians and Muslims, which is to love our God and to love our neighbor — to build a space where we have a culture of worship.”

This project that they intend to build is known as Prak51 and it will include a whole variety of facilities, such as a prayer room, conference room, arts center, gym, swimming pool and some other places that you may know.

Back then in 2005 he made a statement according to which U.S. had more blood on its hands than did Al – Qaeda. He even refused to treat the Hamas regimen as being a terrorist one and he did not blame them for what they did.

As he came back to America, from his travels he remained struck on “The level of attention reflects the degree to which people care about the very American values under debate: recognition of the rights of others, tolerance and freedom of worship.”

While every people has the right to protect its right own beliefs and its country, it is not right for a people that bursts itself with being free of thought to put all the Muslims in the same place and disconsider them all. As there are even some Muslims that are American citizen and they need to feel protected in their own country.
