The family pitbulls attacked and killed a 2 years old boy in his home from Concord, California.

The child walked into the garage where the family kept the three dogs and the animals attacked him. The young boy, who was not alone at home, but with two adult relatives and a brother, was severely injured and pronounced dead when taken to hospital. The Police and Contra Costa County Animal Services department are investigating the case of the dead boy and it is very likely that there will be put restrictions on owning the breed, which was initially was developed for fighting, and there have been a series of recent pitbull attacks. One person was killed and three others were hurt in a pit bull attack in Memphis and a 71 years old man was attacked by two dogs while walking and died after being taken to the hospital.

The firefighters that came to pick up the hurt man were attacked by the dogs, too. A woman alleged to be the dead man’s daughter was also injured, and the owner of the dogs was arrested. The Worcester City Council approved an ordinance that requires tighter restrictions for the pitbull owners, but the final decision will be taken only the next month. The law requires that pitbulls should be leashed and should wear a muzzle when they are not on their owner’s property. The pit bull owners will have to place a warning sign on their property and will have to announce authorities if their dog attacks a person or another animal.
