Romanian Soccer Player Adrian Mutu To Leave Fiorentina
Romanian soccer player Adrian Mutu, considered by many as the best Romanian player of the last decade, and probably the second all times Romanian best after Gheorghe Hagi, deemed as the “King” of Romanian soccer, continues to get in trouble with the clubs he works for.
After the scandal in 2004 related to the use of cocaine, which brought him a scandal with English club Chelsea, resulted in a long period out of the pitch and some severe financial penalties of 17 million euros, “The Brilliant” gets in trouble with Fiorentina, the club that took him in after the scandal with Chelsea, and kept him after a new scandal involving the use of Sibutramine, a substance deemed as forbidden substance for athletes.
To top it all, last year Mutu got in a fight with a waiter in an Italian club, which brought him an image problem and very sarcastic comments in the Romanian sports press.
Now, Fiorentina is planning to take legal action against him after he abandoned a training session this week.
Speaking to a Romanian television channel, Mutu said that he had been announced by the coach that he was going to be part of the 18-man squad for the match with Bologna.
Then he found out it wasn’t going to be so, and he considered it a lack of respect. Furthermore, Mutu complained that the staff of the club said horrible things about him, which made him decide to get ready to leave the club.
Mutu said he had done his share for Fiorentina, scored many goals and expected a little more gratitude.
In his opinion, everything started to go wrong after the Sibutramine case and the period through which he was suspended.

However, Mutu expressed his hope that he could continue to play for Fiorentina, even though he knows the chances are very slim.
The official communiqué of Fiorentina says: “Player Mutu left unilaterally and without no explanation the training session today… as a consequence of his act the club is being prejudiced.”
The communiqué also speaks of lack of respect and of the fact that the staff of Fiorentina is considering the idea of suing him on a sports and civil level.
Mutu is being accused of refusing to go to Cesena where Fiorentina wanted to lend him for a period of time, and of attacking the coach Mijailovic.
Romanian sports press speculates that he may be transferred to Galatasaray Istanbul, where Gheorghe Hagi, one of the most beloved players of Galata, is the coach.
Anyway, Fiorentina’s staff announced he would not pe allowed to go to other Italian club in the Italian Premier League.
