AC Milan President Adriano Galliani excludes any possibility of Ronaldinho leaving the team this year. Although he was often linked by both Flamengo and MLS LA Galaxy, where he could have David Beckham as team-mate, just like at the Italian club, Milan staff denied any offer for the Brazilian striker. Futhermore, Galliani hopes not only the player to go elsewhere, but also to extend his current contract which expires at the end of the next season. Concerning Ronaldinho’s move abroad, the President declared: “Ronaldinho is a Milan player. Milan won’t transfer him and moreover he has never asked to be transferred. So he will remain at Milan for the next season at least but I hope for many, many more years.”

Galliani admitted in the same time the American club is interested in Brazilian’s service, but he’s not for sale though: “It’s true Galaxy are interested in him. After David Beckham, they want another star but Galaxy will have to wait for many more years. There is absolutely no possibility that Ronaldinho leaves. His brother/agent is a friend of mine who I courted for two years before Ronaldinho started with us. I will meet him in the upcoming months especially to extend Ronaldinho’s contract, certainly not to discuss his departure.” The player didn’t take part of Brazil’s failure at the South African World Cup as coach Dunga refused any of his services or Pato’s. He’s expected now to be convoked by the new coach Mano Menezes who also brought back Pato and Liverpool’s midfielder Lucas, both of them ignored along the time by former manager Dunga.

Ronaldinho, who joined AC Milan in 2008, after leaving FC Barcelona scored 12 goals in 36 Serie A matches during the last season only, while his entire period spent at San Siro brought him 65 appearances and 20 goals in two years. Concerning his international career, Ronaldinho played 87 times for the national team of Brazil and scored 32 goals since he joined the team in 1999.11
