Sarah Palin’s Latest Political Blooper: North Korea is the Ally of the U.S.
Sarah Palin continues her gaffe-parade with expressing opinions on international politics and on the allies of the United States.
The one who is considered a candidate for the 2012 presidential elections on behalf of the Republican Party was asked, during a radio interview, about the conflict between the North and South Korea and about the stance the United States should have on the matter.
She made it clear that the United States should stand firm with their ally… North Korea.
The interviewer pointed out then that it was South Korea that is a friend of the United States, not the Communist North Korea.
It is not the first time Sarah Palin passes on opinions like this, calling into question her foreign policy credentials.
It is not the first occasion either on which Sarah Palin embarrasses herself in public while approaching foreign policy topics.
Thus, speaking about Russia’s proximity with Alaska, where she was governor, she said that Russia is so close to Alaska, it can actually be seen with the naked eye. That remark became subject to a television parody.
Besides her personal interpretations of political realities of the country, Ms Palin also makes contributions to the English language, inventing various terms in it.
Thus, she uses “nucular” for “nuclear,” or “refudiate” probably to replace the obsolete “refute.”
And that was not all. Ms. Palin compared herself with the genius Shakespeare and was very proud of the words she invented.
Once she was caught with the topics she was supposed to speak about written in the palm of her hand.
She is also credited for having said: “The news make me sad, so I don’t watch it;” or “America’s teachers’ reward is in heaven” and so on.
